Right, not sure if this will steam on or steam its pants. I got a few fighters i always wonder as to what, where and how they are doing and instead of doing seperate threads i thought i would put them here.
Missing in Action, people you saw down the shops ( FLINT :good) Fighters current status old and new.Would be great to read and learn more on them.
Seen similar threads on other parts of the forum, classic for example. Just thought why not do a British one :bbb
Wayne Alexander, where and what is he up to currently ? I talked of him before, cant remember a reply. Same goes for Richard Williams anyone with any news on him ? Was gutted the possible other fights with Arnie and Tak didnt happen, the supposed four way round robin i mean. They were all under ****** at the time im trying to remember, apart from Williams ? Shame it never happened, the mini comp, given how prizefighter does seem to work and im pretty sure back then it would of worked, opinions also please.
Craig McEwan, forgotten his mates name on here who keeps us up to date on him. Is his fight still on and how is the preperation going ? Any stories on the sparring at wildcard would be great.
Also one last question ever since i had Sky i have watched sooo many fights with Jim Watt comentating. Nice hardy fighter and a whole lot of respect for him and his analysis but everytime without fail when i listen to him i say to myself and the rest gathered..."bitter prick" ?
Is it just me thinking this ?
Please start this off FLINT you know you saw Enzo on Boxing Day :yep
If this trains a non starter then im serving my time in it, ma make-do coalshed :smoke

i was a big fan of richard williams as he boxed at clubs i trained in and also he grew up a few miles down the road in stockwell. i met him once at earlsfield abc show really nice humble bloke. i think he quit boxing and the meals on wheels job lol and is now doing work with troubled kids for southwark council i think.
he's a father of two and if i remember after the eastman fight he said he wanted to be with them more. what a unlucky guy when you think about it looking now how good martinez is doing. he beat shannon taylor and it looked as if he would slowly progress to a world title shot and that one big payday but it never transpired. that light middleweight division domestically had so many fights to have but we only had the few.

Yeah i remember something about that i think if i remember rightly it was a heart scare something to do with his heartbeats. i know gary lockett had the problem with pillows and he needed a plastic wrap over his pillows and it was quite serious.

This a bit i just read about Wayne Rigby but this is from four years back
''Rigby is now eking out a living from three different jobs. He does night shifts at the post office, works on doors at the weekend, and this week began a day-time job as an odd-job man.
But, despite his bitterness, he still retains a love for boxing itself and in January plans to return to Joe Pennington's Northside Boxing Club gym to help with coaching.''

yeah southpaw that was doing well then lost a ibo and wbf title fight against a russian who looking back desevered a bit more caution then what he had a no contest against pernall whitaker because whitaker tested positive for cocaine. he had a load of fights then had a break took that fight lost the guy then fought richard williams and got beaten with ease so tells me steve could and should of beaten him. Then had a win in his comeback then lost again to a club level fighter and had interview with sky and said he's retiring he didn't have it in him anymore and was gutted how bad he boxed. he was nice boxer with decent bang but domestic level tops shame he never got big fights at british level he was in around same time as farnell, williams (both matchroom sports fighters), takaloo, alexander and co.

What's he done?
I used to see him working on the doors in nearby Blackwood after he reitired. He was obviously very recognised in the area and used to get a load of kids attention who were out for the night. At first it was all good natured but inevitably got to turn a bit nasty for him. Obviously didn't help that he was a former world champion who needed to work for a living, and that he was a short arse. A few young kids fancied their chances and there were always reports of some scuffles locally. I don't think Regan could possibly have chosen a more hazardous post career occupation given his fame but Jeff may have other ideas about that.
Anyway, Regan became involved with some wrong un's and it all got progressively worse until things came to a head in 2004:

To cut a short story long, there are lots of rumours around the valleys that he's involved in all sorts of wrong doings.............. alledgedly.
It's a sad story to a guy who's career was cut too short in the first place. Was part of a tremendous team of boxers Dai Gardener had around then. Steve Robinson, Robbie Regan and Nicky Piper were all regular visitors to the gym based in Abercarn. The gym was founded and sponsored by a car sales garage next door which subsequently went bust and the gym closed. Ironically, the gym was on the same industrial estate as Calzaghe's new location.
I guess everyone gets to see Piper all the time and Robinson is now a trainer and all round nice guy.

He fought Forrest a long time ago when Vernon was on his way up and got KO`ed in the later rounds. Adrian was a very good British fighter. Unfortuntely for him the best guys around welter at the time were ATG`s like Shane DLH Forrest and Tito had just moved up to 54. He did have a brief foray at 54 as well but was never the same after the Forrest and Mosley beatings.

I was training in Bristol around 2 years ago where Francis was based, Ross Hale was there training in a sweatsuit. Didn't look like he still had it in him though (looked a bit of a gippo to be honest, long scruffy hair with tache to boot :-)) Farnell is a trainer as previously mentioned, Kevin Lear had to retire through injury I heard.
