adidas makes great boxing shoes. I've had mine for over 3 years and they still look and feel brand new.

You definitely don't need to spend that much though.

On the bright side, Adidas like you said makes great shoes and they will last a while; so if he pays $100 bucks and doesn't replace them for 3 or 4 years it makes up for it; if he prefers the aesthetics of these ones.

I've had Nike low-pros for the last 4 years and just had to buy another pair. The sole was almost worm through on the toes so my cheap ass finally got another pair. I was so happy with them though that I bought the same brand last month, just in white. A couple guys at my gym have Adidas though and they love em.

The last two shoes I've had are Adidas Tyrint II and III. Great shoes, but they don't last very long (at least for me). Usually 5-6 months only.

But for fights I use Adidas Adistar, the shoes for the 2004 Olympics. Had them for a bit over a year now, and they are still like new. They were quite expensive, though.

If you've using them for training too, I would recommend you to have two separate pairs, like me, depending on how often you use them in the gym.

My last ones lasted that long 6-7 months. For this price I think they should last longer than my old ones
