Mir doesn't have any psychological edge over Lesnar.
He was getting thrown around like a wet sack before Lesnar made a rookie mistake. Mir was fortunate to get the win over Lesnar, legit as it was.
Both of them know that in a rematch, all bets are even.
Whether or not you like pro wrestling, Lesnar is a real athlete and he's got the raw skills to be HW champ for an extended period of time - so long as he works on his sub defense and gets some ground offense working other than just riding and g'n'p.

This is again and intriguing fight as Lesnar did very well in there first encounter. But being a rookie he left his leg out and got kneebarred. Mir could very well do the same again but lets be honest he was quite fortunate. Mir has alot of advantages in terms of striking and his submission game but how he handles Brocks physical size strength and speed is going to be key here. If Brock mounts him it could be over but Mir does have the wherewithall to pull for a sub. 50/50 fight for me as i can see it going either way.

Lesnar is still learning his craft. His learning curve, at this early stage of his mma career is probably very steep. He's probably learning new skills on a weekly basis as I have not seen him try subs yet although I'm sure by now he has perfected a few. His enormous strength is probably a disadvantage in that it lets him get away with a lot of things that would get a weaker man subbed. He also is a hell of a powerful striker. If he gets a complete mma game like Mir has he will be unstoppable. Raw, brutal strength like Lesnar's is pretty rare.

Well now Lesnars gotta worry more about Mirs new found striking skills he looked wonderful last night and you know Brock doesnt wanna be on the ground its to risky I dont give a crap how good Brock is hes only been training a couple years now that cant compete with a guy whos been a Blackbelt for like 5 years.

The simple fact is if you don't know any BJJ your in DS on the ground, I saw Mir training with Eddie Bravo and he was working really hard with big strong guys, Lesnar has bugger all JJ and even with an accelerated program he could not have the live experience to pull any submissions off, he can only use his size and power, power fades and size works against you in BJJ, the perfect system to take a big guy out is JJ.
If Mir shows the kind of striking against Brock like he did last night against Rodrigo, I think he's going to give Lesnar trouble. Brock doesn't have the striking ability to compete with Mir standing. I think Frank needs to hurt Brock with his striking to be able to win by submission. I don't see Mir knocking Lesnar out. And I don't see Frank submitting Brock unless Lesnar is hurt.

Brock will not stand and trade, he will try and ground and pound him again, not on his knees this time but Mir will grab and arm and break it, paraphrasing " Lets make Lesnar famous and break something on him"

Mir seems to be a bit sadistic with all the talk he does about "breaking" things. I'm picking Lesnar by 1st round stoppage.

I dont think Brock should fear Mir's striking. Brock can take Mir's punch, but Mir cant, i'm pretty sure of that. Brock should avoid to go to the ground

Yeah, I hear ya.:good I don't care for that thug talk either. Mir's obviously an intelligent dude. Bragging about potentially maiming a fellow competitor is kind of lowlife. I think that Brock is gradually perfecting his mma skills and along with his freakish strength will be too much even for Mir. Brock has some good striking ability and tremendous power himself.

As other have said this is basically a 50/50 fight with me leaning towards Mir to win by submission yet again. Lesnar is still raw and hasn't quite developed as a fighter, but man he's a genetic freak, so it definitely is an intriguing fight.

Mir will be fav for this fight, Lesnar`s biggest weakness is Mir`s biggest strength - submissions - & 5 rds is a long time to not get submitted by a BJJ black belt especially if that blackbelts cardio has been sorted out as Mir`s has.

Mir will sub him again but without getting slap hammed in the face, Mir is good under pressure and always goes for a sub instinctively, Brock does not have stand up to compete with what Mir showed against Minotaur, Mir looked better than he ever did when he was snapping arms and subing people in less than 60 seconds.
Mir is a loud mouth pricky guy and will most likely win based on his last performance, Lesnar needs a Quantum leap in skill and ability to win, power alone will not Ace years of BJJ.

I want Mir to win, I think it can go either way.
And Lesnars best bet is to stay on the feet at least at first, if he is getting consistently outstruck then start looking takedown.

The first wasnt easy was it..
It was. Brock wasnt even hurt..he tapped before Mir could crank it up, he was smart. If you think prior fight performance applies to Brock.. you are mistaken

Trippin!! Lesner will take it guarenteed!! He won't make a mistake this time, i heard he got a good camp running him in ju jitsui game and they are saying he has improved big time in that dept.

The guy left his leg out and got knee barred. Brock isnt and wont be experienced on the mat. If it goes to ground there is a possibility the same will happen again. Either way as iv already said this is an even money fight and i can see a good outcome for both guys. Its all dependent on Brocks sub defense and standup which are huge "what ifs".

Brock just has to be smarter and more savvy. Brock has the speed and power with both his fists and legs to cause damage. He has the strength to dictate standing or on the ground. He doesn't have the smarts or subs but if he can play it smart and beware of the subs then he can win via intelligence.

Can't wait. I have no idea what will happen but I'd like to see Mir win once again. It should be damn close.

It wasn't just a "rookie mistake" or Lesnar "not knowing leglocks", Mir has outstanding submission, especially leglocks.
Mir especially has a knack for making a sub work without it being applied to where it ideally would be; he had Sylvia's forearm rather than his elbow, and broke the damn thing in half, on Lesnar he had a kneebar that was actually better described as a "shin bar", and if Lesnar hadn't tapped, he would have snapped that as well.
