I have decided to do an All-time Light Heavyweight Tournament. I have picked 48 of the finest 175lbers in history, and have done a random draw to place them all in their brackets. Eight seeded fighters cannot meet until the Quarter Finals.

All contests are 15 three minute rounds, no three knockdown rule, and the same referee and ring size for all contests.

Each fighter is fighting in their 175lbs prime, so bear that in mind when certain fighters are fighting who may have been more impressive at other weights.

All votes will be open for three days, I will only vote to break a tie.

Feel free to add comments to your vote

:huh

Charles won, that's what I'm saying. Ali won the heavyweight one, Hagler the middleweight, Robinson the welterweight and Leonard the lightweight. I don't remember who won the featherweight tournament, perhaps Armstrong.

Yeah, I understand what you were saying.

I think what your suggesting is that there's no point because it's been done before?

Mabye "Ageless Warrior" hadn't been released at that time?

I'm guessing Hopkins wasn't in it.

Perhaps a few folks have changed their mind between then and now?

And there will be a few more members.

Most of all, I wasn't here to explain why Langford beats Charles :D

In the meantime you might actually learn something, teach something, enjoy yourself, or just plain old sit out.

yeah i remember the tournament, good debates too, although Z and Q haven't been posting in a while and they contribute well to these type of threads. Still McGrain is right about new members

There is no point doing another tournament. The discussions will mostly remain the same, and while some new points might be added, it's not worth clogging up the whole forum with. We did the tournament thing, it's out of our system, and frankly I don't think anyone can be arsed going through it again. I know I can't. I did the lightweight tournament and after that I was all predicted out.
