Where did the Japs find this guy? He was in complete control (mostly side control) for 5 minutes and didn't attempt one submission. Then when he stood up, he had no striking ability. He looked like a novice. A more seasoned fighter would of finished Sapp.

And he got into North- South position. Remember the brutal knees that Fujita landed on Sapp from that position which lead to stopping him? This guy did nothing.

Sapp looked terrible for the first few minutes. It's surprising how easily a man that large can be taken down and controlled. You'd think at 350 pounds you could just toss the guy off you and stand up. The last few minutes were great, though. That flying left jab that almost put Taro through the ropes...:rofl

Sapp has the worst punching technique of all time, but you can tell those suckers have some power on them. Ouch.

As much of a farce and abomination this fight was, it's nice to see Bob back to winning ways. Can't put my finger on it but theres something quite likable to the silly oaf.

I enjoy watching him, too. His fights are always...entertaining. I kind of like a good freakshow battle every now and then to spice things up.

I don't know many people that would willingly take that amount of abuse from Bob Sapp for money. Those sloppy punches had some serious pop.

You're probably right - but Sapp started so lethargically - it all looked like a work - which the Japanese are famous for. "Carry this guy for a few minutes so the fans can cheer and we'll pay you ______yen".
