BAUTISTA LOSS COSTS HIS VILLAGE DEARLY
By Scott Shaffer
While Filippino Gerry Penalosa changed his entire life with one punch, a knockout of Jhonny Gonzalez that instantly transformed him from a veteran on the way down into a reigning world champion, his countryman Rey Bautista had insult added to injury by a local politician in the wake of a loss on the same card. One day after Bautista was stopped in the first round of a failed WBO 122-pound title bid vs. Daniel Ponce De Leon, a local radio station reported that because of Bautista's defeat, his hometown of Candijay would not be getting a paved road leading into town. Provincial Governor Erico Aumentado promised before Bautista's fight the road would be paved by 2008 if he brought home the title. On Sunday, Aumentado pushed the road-paving date back to 2010 and blamed Bautista's loss. source: abs-cbn interactive

Far to much pressure on young shoulders , it was noticeable too he looked very nervous in the ring .
Ideally he would have gone into that fight with nothing to lose(but his 0) and a lot to gain .
Bautista will have ptobably fought for a World title again by 2010 , hopefully a similar situation will not arise should he lose again .

The people need to rise up and overtake his office.
How corrupt can one be to where he doesnt even have to hide his corruption.
