What you think guys about Elvir "Kosovo Kid" Muriqi ?

Can he become world champion ?

He shows great fight with Antonio Tarver. The boxrec.com have him in the 13 place in the light heavyweight division. Muriqi wants next fight to fight in the Europe, maybe in the Germany. He spents two weeks in the Germany and are in negociation with many fighters there. The voices coming from Universum Box Promotion who wants to make hard match betwen croatian Stipe Drews and Elvir Muriqi. Mr Kohl knows how many albanians will come to see him and this great match up, im sure near 10.000 and will bring great fight. Lets hope to this match to happen. Muriqi came in the birth place Kosovo and will preapare in the hometown for one month. I will meet Muriqi this week or next week and will inform exactly for his next opponent.

He was game against Tarver, but a future champion he's not (without some lucky matchmaking). I can see him in the back end of the top 15, but not much higher. He's just not particularly good at anything.

:nono:nono:nono I dissagree with you there, he is very good in the majority of his abilities, good stamina, good combinations, very good chin and very fast recovery, his heart is the biggest which makes him a very brave fighter.
The only thing i think he should improve is the strategies that he will follow to box with their opponents, its not possible for him fighting Tarver on the outside, he should have fight him on the inside close range. Inside combinations will give him what he wants nothing else.
Regarding a world title its hard to say due to the stiff competition on this division. But who knows maybe one day he will.

Stiff competition? The lhw is one of the worst divisions right now. Beside Dawson and Hopkins and perhaps Erdei there aren´t any elite fighters left - neither Tarver nor Jones should be considered as such after their last outings.

He is a second level fighter and would have to drastically improve to win a world title. I would like to see him in Europe fighting for a german promoter where he could get an easier shot at at passed it fighter. He got skill but not enough to beat even the current champs or up and comers.

i think that the tarver fight was just a case of tarver not taking the fight seriously.

i had seen him before and he looked like nothing more than a tough clubfighter.

i dont think he could beat a briggs, dawson and so on.

last time i looked, albania has no world class fighters.

I agree, if you saw him fight tarvwe, Elvir Muriqi was giving 100% of everything he had and he fought a good fight but still couldn't hurt Tarker, who is not who he used to be. Tarver looked like he had no heart in the fight because he knew he was going to win. He didnt want o dominate, he just wanted to do enough to win. Even though Muriqi was very impressive for a B class boxer, Tarver was always in control of the fight.

Muriqi spenting holiday in the Kosovo right know but he will back next week in the USA . He get great offer from Saurland Event but he have one more year contarct with Star Boxing. Somebody of the staff of Star Boxing will travell together in the Germany in the October to look to make one hard match if can be posible. Saurland is interesting to make deal with DeGuardia to managing both together guy from Kosovo and to shot any title with some of Universum light heavyweight champions. Its posible to see in the end of year Muriqi with Erdei, Drews or Ullrich.
