Joe Calzaghe and David Haye said that he may not have the stuff needed to make it at pro level.

In The Sun today, DeGale was quoted as saying the following:

"Haye is a silly sod. Do you know what it is? He's got the hump because I'm better looking than him. How dare he say I won't make a good pro? I can't wait to prove people like him wrong."

He's mouthing off a bit too much for my liking already. Surely Frank needs to pull him to one side and explain in very fine detail exactly what happened to Audley Harrison after the year 2000.

In all fairness I like some fighters to be a bit cocky (everyone cant all be the peoples fighter like ricky), he just needs to back it up (which i'm unsure he will do).

Amusing this subject has come up. I had a brief chat with Haye once in the bar at a dinner show at the Park Lane Hilton and while I was doing so, every single bird (and there were many) took their time checking "us" out on the way past. Some of them even tripped because they were still looking over their shoulders. Now, I will admit, I was in a suit and looking quite sharp, but given that this hasn't happened before or since, I think we have to credit the boy Haye for grabbing all the female attention. This was in early 2005 as well so it's not like he was remotely famous then outside boxing and most of these birds were jack all to do with the dinner show. The bloke has "got it" with women like no other I have ever seen.
