View Full Version : Those thinking of going to Vegas for Wicky v PacMan

Please give me a shout (PM) if you'd like me to sort out travel for you. The reason I'm shamelessly touting for business of ESB is I'm trying to get my employers to consider a specialist sports department and sorting out trips for more than just Stuey would help my cause no end. I know a couple of you contacted me re JC v RJJ and I couldn't get much in the way of decent prices, but NYC before Xmas is a nightmare. There's plenty more availability in Vegas. I work for [Only registered and activated users can see links] ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) so it's a kosher company. Honest guvnor. :D
Benefits: I can do a week over there from about £550pp inc flights and 3*. More if you want a flash hotel or direct flights. Also, the nature of boxing dictates that fights get cancelled, moved and postponed. I can refund deposits up until a month before the fight should things go tits up.
Downsides: I can't do actual fight tickets (one of the reasons I'm trying to get an official sports dept set up).
Once your flight tickets have been issued (full payment needed approx 30 days before departure) you're going to Vegas even if the fight is cancelled because the airlines won't give refunds and insurance companies don't pay out for "I don't want to go any more".
Advice: Even if you're just thinking about it, give me a shout and I'll hold some flights for you on a refundable deposit. Prices will only go up if you hang around.
Sadly I won't be able to join those of you that go as I've poured all my pennies into going to South Africa for the British Lions tour in June....

A week is a long time in Vegas. I can get 4 nights in the MGM with flights in cheaper than that just off the t'interweb. You're gonna have to come up with some better deals bud. Sorry.

I would be looking for about four days, rather than a week..... any ideas?

From Manchester? Prices from about £445pp if you stay in the Circus Circus, but, again, these would need paying for straight away. The delayed payment options out of Manchester would probably be about £100 more as I'm restricted to certain Airlines. Plus, it's already getting booked up out of Manchester. London will be cheaper if you can manage it..

Cheaper than that is definitely available, but would need paying straight away. Generally speaking, the internet is cheaper for packages this simple (although I should be able to price match most stuff) but you don't get a deposit only option and you certainly don't get it refunded by a kind hearted travel agent if the fight is cancelled :yep

From Leeds if possible - though Manchester would be ok!

From Leeds you'd have to go through Amsterdam and Detroit and stump up by Jan 25th!
From Manchester on Delta (one stop in Atlanta) about £440pp (based on two people) or £400 if you cough up the full payment straight away.

You're paying for the hotel on your own in that case. Add £110.

Book you flights locally and give me a shout about hotels. Discretion is assured as I'm sure you don't want 20,000 pissed up Man City fans knowing your hotel....and room number......:D

I would like to go to this one......
Depart Manchester 30th April
Stay anywhere (within reason) not too far from MGM/Planet Hollywood
Return 3rd/4th May - whichever is easier
To include transfers from and to airport - unless really expensive. I can sort the two Leeds/Scumchester journeys :good

Flights as below and 4 nights in the Excalibur £575pp based on two sharing. £714 for a single person. Transfers are a waste of money, get a cab.

Current climate tells me to give it a swerve, especially with the weak £, but am tempted!
You bastards went up to 187 ISK for £1 today. A bigger increase than any other currency.
There has never been a better time to come to Iceland.

Kerry Katona might be doing the shopping. I don't want a murder conviction, otherwise my application to emmigrate to Australia (soon to be filled in) will be rejected.
I thought they wanted young professional couples with children and more potential children to come.
What are they going to do with a miserable old bastard like you?

On the other hand, I might just go to Iceland - and start up a bank :yep

You against the gonverment...hmmm. On second thoughts you'll probably win that skirmish
They do have quite some capital raised with a little help from the Russian government.

What is a standard ISK level - obviously not 187..... for instance a beer is about £2.50 - how much there?

hatton mayweather i watched in the mgm close circuit, besides a worrying lack of bars (a problem i am certain will be rectified this time) it was quality, like being in a big rowdy cinema with the fight on about seven screens......

There's 8 of us going to Ibiza for 2 weeks in July, that's the only stumbling block I can foresee cash-wise. I'm sure I can persuade one of the boys though, the lads I speak to who follow Ricky everywhere never have anything but good reports of Vegas.

I bet a week wouldn't be much dearer.
The £ is hasn't weakened as much against the $ as it has against the Euro..... so may try to talk the lads into doing a week there. The ones that don't fancy the fight can go out on the piss.....
What is the cost of everything there?

I didn't notice anything being that expensive, just 'normal' prices. I know that sounds a bit vague but I don't really notice that sort of thing unless I've got a bargain or I've been ripped off.

I'm waiting on a mate, if he says 'yes' then I'm 95% if I can get over there for less than £600.
