Just keep an eye for this guy, you will not be disapointed with what you going to right now, and in the future.

He needs to pad his record, fighting a bum every week for like a year and then fight a top 10 guy and then get a title shot. If he's as good as you say this should be no problem

Seen his pro fights on youtube. He defently has the skills to be very good. Probbly needs to shed some pounds. What was his fighting weight as an amature? what is his ideal fighting weight as a pro? When do you beleve he will be ready for his first tittle shot?

He doesn't impress me as much as Povetkin does yet, but I guess he should continue to improve as his career progresses. I would like to see him drop some weight because he does have serious potential.

Yeah, you're right, the current best HW champ has no shot at KOing a guy who can't get into fight shape..........................................

Klitschko KO in 2 rounds :D After the fat guy loses his breath tring to keep up.

I am quite sure that every real fight fan is happy that Solis has turned pro.
Povetkin and Solis-these two names could be the most mentioned ones when speaking about heavy weight boxing within the next couple of years.
By the way Solis' great amateur rival Alexeev has turned pro at cruiser weight.

I understand that he only has 3 fights, but looking at his amature record (in mind that amature is not the same as the pros) he has beat some pretty good fighters and done it really well, if he goes down to 210lbs he will be unbeatable.

As an amature he used to fight at 200lbs, i look for him to fight at 220lbs or so in the pros, but he can fight at different weight in the heavyweights cause he has alot of movement for a guy his size, I can see him really ready for a tittle shot in about 2 or 3 years.

He is currently the best prospect indeed, as Povetkin already moved to a contender status. I just don't understand why you had to twist his record, unless you had made an error. His pro record reads 3(2)-0.

Of course as far as Eastside posters are concerned this guy is either a bum or is already shot.

He fought down at 201 in the ams so he's done some serious eating. Beat David Haye in the finals of the World Amateur champs, getting knocked down in the process apparently. A rematch would be good when Solis gains some experience and Haye moves up to HW.

If he can't even stay in shape at the start of his pro career what can we expect from him when he gets older and lazier. Bad habits tend to get worse with age. if he ever makes to klitschko he will be destroyed, but i think his laziniess will catch up with him before he becomes a serious contender.

Both Klitschko's beats him.
I think David Haye would knock him out now too.

If this fight ever happens with either one of them, when it does im sure solis will be at his best shape and will outbox any one of them, he smarter boxing wise than both of them.

I am afraid Povetkin will get to Klitschko first.

He could be good, but he needs to get back in the 225 range, increase his stamina, and work on his defense. "Next champion" is probably a little soon, but I can see him being moved as quickly as Povetkin, if not faster, if he can stay motivated.

210?? He cant go that low again, 230 would be good!! 210 pounds is TO low these days for a heavyweight. But i have no doubt that he will be champion!

Not sold on him yet, he gained a hell of a lot of weight from his amateur fights to his pro debut. Also, most Cuban fighters (especially the heavyweights) tend not to pan out when they go pro.

solis should hopefully start on the rahmans and guinns soon

The guy has had 3 pro fight's. Rahman would take his head off, As for Guinn he would once again look like a world beater. I don't care how much talent he has, He needs loads and loads of experience. AND Discipline. (He reminds me of a Young HW James Toney in that department)

Nice thread JayCuban ...

He is one of the best prospects today. Solis and Povetkin are future, but time will tell us who is best.

My opinion for the Solis is that doing great job with Arena Box Promotion but he must to go from next fight in the six rounds. He have brilant amateur carear and dont need to wiat to long , he must to attempt world title in his 15 match because he have experince for that. I afraid that he took a lot weight and that can be problem for him in the future.

Solis is good fighter, he have three big wins over good europian contenders.

He's not in very good shape, he needs to lose some weight IMO.

Oh boy this is going to be fun.

Zelenoff is also known as ViciousBoxer77 and before that Russianboxer. He claimed to be able to knock out Peter Manfredo in sparring and is dilusional about his boxing skills. Also, he claims to outboxer "Heavyweight" boxers often.

Aside from that, he has been called out repeatedly by another poster on here Bazooka since both their gyms are supposed to be close and Zelenoff never replied. He only made youtube videos talking crap on camera which are pretty amuzing. Here's one of them.
