Ulrich is coming back in the ring and this time in the Cruiserweight division...

His opponent is also a fellow German, Armin Dollinger.

I dont know anything about this guy, but seems to me he fought a bunch of Tomato cans only and his best win seems to be his last vs a 22-3 guy.

What are your thought on Ulrich campaigning in the Cruiserweight division?

Personally, I don't think he will go far. Fight is in 3 days....

ulrich is a decent but domestic level fighter only IMO.

everytime he steps up he is found out, and going to cruiser will be no different.

i dont think he will be physically big enough at cruiser either especially with his style.

I liked Ulrich for some reason........anyway I doubt he wil be doing anything at CW,Adamek put the last nail in his coffin.
Thid Dollinger hasn't beaten nobody except Kurzawa was was a preopect that didn't turn out right.
His CW division run might be just this fight.

5-1 in EBU title fights? Climbed to #8 in Ring magazine ratings?

I think he is far above a domestic level fighter. 'Top European level' or 'fringe World level' describes Ulrich more accurately. Nowadays he has lost a few steps though. His fight with unbeaten Dollinger could go either way.

I don't see much future for Ulrich. But to say he only fought tomato cans is wrong. He fought Glen Johnson - and got knocked out. Same with Adamek... He also fought Erdei and a shot Roccighiani.

IMO he beat a few fighters at the end of there careers for one last payday.

matthew barney beat him quite easily IMO in a euro fight and barney is only uk domestic level.

Except Branco went on to win a world title after their fight.

And Barney literally ran all night if I recall. :huh

As long as Universum doesn't stick him in another world title fight, all is fine by me.

He is a good fighter at Euro level.I never realised how popular he was in Germany untill one of his fights was on in a Berlin bar while i was there a while back.I know its his home town but the guys went nuts when he won.It was a decent fight, cant remember the opponent.
