Great puncher vs china chin ....
Tito is an AVERAGE puncher at middleweight. Not even a SHARP puncher unless you stand there and let him hit you for an hour like Mayorga.
Tito has absolutely nothing to beat Jones with. Not power, not speed, nothing.

Tito will NOT beat Roy Jones

Great puncher vs china chin ....
Tito does not hit harder than RJJ, and Tito's chin is far from perfect. He's been dropped more times than a bad habit.

Umm, No.

At 170 or 175, Roy hits harder than Tito. And Tito doesn't exactly have an iron chin.

The true question is how good/bad would Tito do with Calzaghe?
The true question is how good/bad would Tito do with Calzaghe?
You saw what southpaw Winky did to a younger, more active Trinidad. This would be like that, but... you know.

Tito is not a 168 or 175 pounder. He will not do well there, PERIOD!!!!!!!!

Tito will still be the same uncoordinated, heavy front footed and predictable puncher he has been.. Only he will look two years older.
We know what Jones has succumb to over the past few years but the point is that he is still active and would always have handed Tito's ass to him.
Jones in a fairly easy fight. The only reason why it goes the distance is because Jones doesn't have the stones anymore to take a risk in going after a wounded fighter.

If RJJ fights scared, easy UD for him, if he fights mean, he knocks Tito out, and I mean real easy.

Tito will school Jones.
Jones is already looking for excuses saying he will quit if he not KO Tito in 7.
The true is Jones will either quit erlier due to close invitation with the canvas
or his team throw the towel saving him from embarassment :tong.

You are just dumb aren't you. The Vargas fight was at 154. Not 160 or much less 170 pounds. Tito is not a hard puncher unless you stand there and let him hit you for 12 rounds. When was Tito's last true knockout in the first couple rounds?
7 years ago and at 20 pounds SOUTH of where he's fighting.

The best question is when was the last time Jones didn't lay on the ropes for most of the fight? :huh
I guest it was when he lay on the canvas counting the light bulbs.

I dont wanna break your bubble but Joe's offense is 10X times better then winky wright'jab.

Joppy as always been known as a pretty durable fighter. He went 12 rounds with Eastman, Hopkins and Taylor, three overaverage punchers.
Trinidad destroyed him within a few rounds. Saying he isn't a puncher at 160 is just plain ridiculous.

Calzaghe gives Tito the worst beating og his life. Worse than a prime Jones. Prime Jones knocks Tito out. Calzaghe takes Tito full 12 rounds and destroys ala Meldrick Taylor, except Tito would be losing the whole time.
You mean Calafagi have no power to knock Tito out?

Tito would leave Joe on the mat with a period leaking through Calzaghe's vagina.
and fuck Roy Jones Jr. Thanks.
:rofl
tito would be brutally, and i mean really really brutally battered by calzaghe. titos punches at 168 would mean nothing to joe.
trinidad has no business fighting at this weight with a prime calzaghe, fuck he has no right taking this fight with a shot jones at lhw.

both are finished but roy will win easy
My thoughts exactly. RJJ late TKO or wide UD, a shot Tito deserves a better ending than this. :tired

this fight could go easily either way, a Roy Jones of the past would have easily outbox Trinidad and thats the way he should go in this fight... just box and move and being real careful not getting caught with a left hook by Trinidad... its funny how many say Trinidad has no power at 168, but how do they know, Trinidad has never fought in that weight class... Get the facts straight:patsch remember he moved up to 160 and destroy two fighters who were consider to be the best at that middleweight class and then lost to the great Hopkins... so dont underestimate his power at all...
Stinky gloves
08-15-2007, 07:09 PM
then lost to the great Hopkins... so dont underestimate his power at all...
Hopkins is defensive master, Jones never was, he was offensive master when he had the speed.
So Hopkins easily neutralized Tito power, will Jones be able to do the same?

Yep, Jones will embrass him ala DLH, except JOnes wont run out of gas, and actually has the power to knock Tito out.

I would have agreed with u if this was a Roy Jones of 5 to 8 years ago he would have won easily ud, both of these fighters are past their prime and we all know Trinidad has had trouble with guys like odlh and winky.... but we also know roy jones has not been the same since his devastating losses to Glenn Johnson and Tarver... for u to make it seem like Jones will easily destroy Trinidad by ko is ridiculous, if u say by decision then many will agree.... this is boxing anything could happen, it doesnt take too much brain to figure that out...

I think Jones can handle a natural welterweight, even at this stage of his career.
PanamaJack
08-15-2007, 09:46 PM
Trinidad stands NO chance. Another BS Jones fight.
It's a matter of stamina, if RJJ is able to keep things up for 12 rounds and keep boxing Tito he wins and has a chance to KO late if his stamina holds up, otherwise Tito does indeed have a chance to land something big.

Although this fight is stupid and proves nothing if it comes off, Jones looked just fine in his last two fights and took enough good shots in both for anyone with a half a brain to realize he isn't going to be knocked out every single time he sets foot in the ring; especially by a comparitively little guy like Tito Trinidad.
