Hi to you guys on the Aussie forum. A question for all the Mundine fans and critics here, how would you rate Mundines chin ?
We all known about the 15minute sleep he did after Sven Ottke coughed in his direction but how has it been since then ? Someone told me he's been on the canvas 4 times in his last 5 fights ?
Thanks in advance

Im pretty sure in recent times his only trip to the canvas was against Crazy Kim. In his last fight I read he took a punch and slipped.
I've seen him take decent shots but it's still questionable at best imo.

Yeah i only thought crazy had him down lately.
I dont rate his chin too high, but it has been a long time since he go KOed, so it cant be that bad.
8/10 atm, but could be gettin worse with him dropping weight.

Cheers guys for the info :happy
I've only seen Mundine fight Kessler and Ottke, so im not really in a position to comment. I'd just heard he had been down a lot recently which may now not be true.
On these scales where would you rate Mundines chin
Iron - Margo
Good - Mosley
Average - Pac
Shaky - Dawson
Glass - Rahman
?
It would be average.
However he doesnt get tagged too much so i would be inclined to say its shaky.

I'd say average against average fighters and shaky against the best.

mundines chin is cnever gonna be hes biggest strength, but its also not as weak as alot of people make it out to be
His chin is weak and seems to be getting weaker.

He hasnt been dropped by the biggest punchers he has fought.Probable because he is aware and fights more defensively against them Kessler,Green if he is to get KO again it will be against a fighter who he doesnt fear I reckon.

Regardless, his balls are shrivelled like sultanas, so his chin really doesn't matter.

Funny but its hard to say about mundines chin....it has been bad from time to time but has also been good....most of all he dont get hit all that often so maybe the jury is still out after 35 fights :huh...we may know more when he has another good fight.....maybe

Mundine's chin is no good. Hit clean and he's gone. He can take a heavy pounding as long as they are'nt clean shots. I watched the Kessler fight again 2 days ago, and he copped plenty at times, but never cleanly (thats why i think the fight was closer than the judges had it, Mundine was cleaner, but Kessler outworked him a bit too much). He looked like he could take more back then, but now, even though he's only been down once lately, he's been stung a few times by nobodies.
He needs to strengthen up again.

Depends what your definition is off a good/bad chin. Yes he has been knocked down a few times but other then Otkee he has always got back up un affected. to me that shows its not a bad chin. If he had been knocked down and was groggy then you would say he has a bad chin but Kessler Green didn't do any damage and whilst the others knocked him down they didn't worry him in any way. I would saay abvove average chin. and i would say that Otkee was more exhaustion and a temple shot not his chin
