He is filling in for an injured performer to fight Matt Hardy The fight will be taped tonight and will air on saturday night.

Sure didn't see this coming. I wonder if Vince will allow Evander to go all out like Butterbean was allowed to do in Brawl for All brutally knocking out his opponent in about 20 seconds? Or will Vince try and fool his fans making sure Evander doesn't put any real power on his punches?

If this is true, watch him fuck up his hand or something and lose his last shot at a HW title :patsch. This can't really be happening...

MVP's Doctor recently discovered that he has a possible career-ending heart condition.

It's scheduled for an event called Saturday Night's Main Event which was a signature show that they held a handful or so times per year. It's like a mini-PPV for free. This is the type of event where shock and awe type things always seem to take place.

And that isn't some sort of a storyline being made up by McMahon? I haven't watched wrestling since back when Austin was feuding with Hart. If it's not some sort of gimmick then what the hell is Holyfield thinking? If he gets an injury he is fucked. He already fluked into a title shot, now this? Idiot :bart.

I'll be watching, hoping something bad happens like Holyfield headbutts him or forgets to pull a punch.

I don't watch wrestling on any sort of regular basis either. I tape it for my grandpa who doesn't have cable and decided to look onto some wrestling sites to kill time until it goes off. What I do know is all posted above.

It'll be some sort of scripted nonsense where no punches are actually thrown, and if they are, they'll be faked punches.

That you can bet on.

Holyfield is merely making him some money, so more power to him.

Did you ever see Butterbean fight a WWE Superstar in Brawl for All? Butterbean knocked Bart Gunn out more brutally than he did Johnny Knoxville.

The video is on youtube if you're interested.

What does that have to do about anything exactly? The fact remains that even if it is all staged, what if Holyfield injures himself? This is his last shot at a HW title and he was amazingly lucky that he got it(Maybe he sent a hooker with Hep B to Chagaev's room? kidding).

You seem to be under the impression that everybody does everything you do. From stealing thousands of dollars worth of music, to stealing porn, to watching "Professional" wrestling...eh..this is hopeless, and you are tiring :-((.

And that isn't some sort of a storyline being made up by McMahon? This story is legit. The wrestler, MVP, has a problem with his heart, which causes it to often beat faster than usual.
I haven't watched wrestling since back when Austin was feuding with Hart. If it's not some sort of gimmick then what the hell is Holyfield thinking? If he gets an injury he is fucked. He already fluked into a title shot, now this? Idiot :bart. The chances of him getting injured here are far lower than when he is training hard for a heavyweigfht title shot. Obviously he could get injured, but it's very unlikely. All this is, is a publicity stunt. Wrestling is watched by millions every week, so it's bound to raise the profile for boxing and this fight. The reward is bigger than the risk.
It'll be a simple sparring thing. Probably last less than 2 minutes, before MVP (Bad guy) jumps Hardy (good guy), and then Holyfield lays MVP out, just like Tyson/Michaels.

True, more people that know about the fight the better. Hadn't thought about it that way. Just can't help but think what a disapointment it would be for him if something were to happen. Hopefully he entertains people enough to go watch the fight.

MVP and Evander Holyfield were backstage acting like they were posse members

Matt Hardy vs. Holyfield in a boxing match. Michael Buffer was ring announcer. They plugged Holyfield's next match and put him over, so there must be a business deal here with Vince in some form.

Holyfield destroyed Hardy. In round two, Holyfield turned babyface because he refused to continue to pummel Hardy. MVP got mad at him for not hurting Hardy, so he KO'd MVP

Sounds like Evander, who learned to change his ways, turned the tides on his tormentor, and stood up for the forces of good.

And evil has been defeated, once again.

Thank GOD we had Evander to take care of that evil MVP for us. If MVP had not been stopped, no telling what would have come of it.

Tyson got in on some of this crap back several years ago. Him and Steve Austin. That was rediculous and laughable, to say the least.

I think Evander's outting in the WWF/E sounds equally as funny.

Holyfield would knock Hogan down....the count would get up to 9, Hogan lying motionless...then Hogan leaps to his feet before 10, starts shaking and whirling his head about...Evander keeps punching, but they no longer have any effect...

Yes this is a good move, the article ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) says that it will be a boxing match, so Holy will totally dominate the guy as long as they keep within those rules, and it will bring in viewers to watch his title shot, which is on free-to-air ESPN CLassic as I understand. This is kinda silly, but it is good for boxing, especially if those viewers can be retained with a good Holyfield-Ibragimov match, a good match for the winner, and a solid showcase undercard of up-and-comers.

It's already happened...they tape the show in advance.

And the taping went fine, so it looks like Holyfield didn't get anything but some spare alomony cash and a bit of tv. No injuries to report (it was always going to be a worked fight anyway, they learnt their lesson from Butterbean-Gunn...)

It has already happned. Holyfield knocked Hardy down and after the first round while the Hardy corner and the officials were deciding whether he could continue the wrestler affiliated to Holyfields corner [MVP] got into an argument with Holyfield and Holyfield knocked him out. End of event.
