Pacquiao avoiding Barrera spies!
Super featherweight superstar Manny Pacquiao, who quickly left the States after a press conference last Friday, explained why on Monday at a training session in the Philippines. "It's our strategy," Pacquiao told the Philippine Star. "The Wild Card in LA is getting too crowded. I feel the other camp will do some heavy scouting this time. You can't keep the fans out all the time. They can easily pick up my strategy there....one of (Marco Antonio) Barrera's people can always check the developments in my training there especially in the early part where the strategy is being worked out." Pacman dismissed media speculation that he left because of an argument with trainer Freddie Roach and/or an affair with actress Ara Mina. "I’m asking my fans not to worry," he told the Star. "I don’t want to give Barrera a chance to get back at me. I will not give him the chance."

There nothing Pacquiao does that's goin suprise you he a machine that does the samething every fight. He's just so good at it no one can stop it even when they know it's coming.

I would imagine there would be more distractions at home than in LA....i dont see why anyone would care who he is dating, unless hes having sex with that girl....having sex is a mythical no no in boxing while training for a fight....

Pacquiao should just shut up and train his ass off in Los Angeles
The result is gonna be the same no matter where he trains anyway.

Pacman said that the Barrera spies our out to steal his mojo. I mean what is pac without his mojo. They are trying to learn the ancient hidden secrets of fillipino boxing. That is sacred. Handed down to Pac from his ancestors and theres before them. No way can they have "the glow". You didnt know Pacman has the ability to make his hands glow like in the LAST DRAGON. Come on, where have you guys been:patsch
Seems like Pacquiao draws inspiration from the movie Kickboxer. Going back to the homeland to learn the secret techniques a good technician like Pacquiao needs.

i think you meant TOM Clancy.
Agreed, and this goes to show you other posters that not all Filipino's are PacHuggers... I didn't care for him from the start of March with the whole election fiascos... In the fight though I'd still cheer for him against Barrera..

he was interviewed last night, he is disappointed that people, especially the media writes this things about him, that he's not taking barrera seriously, that he should be training his ass of in LA, etc..he said that he is in constant communication with Roach and that everything is going as planned...he just prefer training near his family, and that all these gossips needs to stop.

Yeah he is in constant communication with Roach . . . do you think that will help in his preparation? Preparing for a fight is not just physical bruh . . . the body only responds to training when the brain is focused.
Yeah he wants to train near his family . . . :yep :D  . . . then he better stop fighting and just stay with his family. :hi:

he has been in many controversies in the country, even involving his family..so what would you rather do? his family matters to him more than boxing does, and if leaving them would make matters worst, why do it?

Too much drama.
I don't see anything wrong with that and it's good news actually. It's HIS training camp and he should have it the way he feels 100% unless you want excuses after the fight which can be justified. This is good news.

Why not just close the gym off to outsiders while he trains?

I believe he needs Freddie Roach around to keep him in line, just communicating with him across the Pacific is not good enough. Too much gambling, women, and billiards in the P.I. for Manny...I think hje should train @ the WildCard or some other location with Freddie.

maybe being near his fam and his peepz actually helps...i mean, who ever said you gotta be 498759284729847392847398 miles away from home to be motivated......
look at faggot ass floyd, he trains at home....

who's gonna pay for freddie's bills....Roach HIMSELF shut the gym to outsiders during the second Morales fight I doubt he would have any trouble doing it again.

Lol i am looking foreward to Pacman's new secret strategy:D
for MAB to win i think he has to make it a war...if he lays back and tries to box, Pac's greater speed will be too much like it was the first time...Morales showed in the 1st fight that the way to beat Pac is with pressure...but there's no way that MAB will have to worry about guessing Pac's 'strategy'...what MAB needs to do is back Pac up...

No shit :rofl
Strategy? Pacman? :rofl
he did use a strategy of going to the body early and using a right hook counter on the second fight w/ morales.

Only a hater would make a big deal out of this
Making news out of no-news
Btw Cash you need to watch more pacquiao fights if you think all he does is come forward with straight lefts and throw a right hook every once in a while

Nah I'm not a hater dude . . . but I'm not a nuthugger either.
It's just fucki'n ridiculous postponing his trips four times and then rush back home unknown by his team after just 3 days . . . then later on announce that he decided to do the first part of training here because of "spies" bullshit. :yep Do you find that normal? :D
