How far do you think he can go? Everytime i've seen him im majorly impressed with all aspects of his game! :think Or has he left it to late having came into the pro game quite late?

He could likely clean the division. Shutting out and stopped Rivera was a good start, considering the layoff and considering that Collazo struggled heavily with Rivera.

He'll like beat Alcine badly also and then take another decent name late this year, that could very well put him into candidacy of fighter of the year if he beats all by wide margins.

Very skilled guy, I am impressed with him. Shame he's overlooked.

I'd take him over PBF, Mayweather and Spinks personally, he's a nightmare any of them. Whether he gets the decision is another factor....

I'd also take him wide over DLH, Karmazin etc.

He could be a P4P level fighter with his speed, style and skill level, but he'd need the wins to get there. You can see why he was avoided.

Agreed, very very high risk and little reward. I hope he gets in about soon, when did he turn pro, what 27/28?

He's one of those guys like Glen Johnson where they are very fresh at advanced age, he's good for 2 more years or so to make his mark and he has a really good set of textbook skills to back him up further if his speed starts to slip.

BUT, he won't have more than 4 years as a top level fighter, that's for sure.

His only obstacle to 154 supremacy is Spinks. :good

:good but i would take Dzinziruk over him, that guy is even more underated.

I have yet to see Sergey fight, but if he's THAT good, then he will accomplish something. We will have to find out.

Excellent fighter - powerful and fast. He could probably defeat everybody at 154

Travis Simms seems to be a dedicated boxer who will make noise, but he better hurry because at his age he doesn't have time to mess around. Too bad we'll see more shameless ducking by the...ahem...jr. middleweights.

what do you mean?

He is that good imo but he wonīt accomplish anything because he isnīt marketable enough. He doesnīt speak German and his promoter doesnīt put any money in marketing him.

It would be wise for him to learn both German and English as soon as possible.

I like Travis to face Floyd or Oscar for free or just a minimal purse... Coz the beating that Travis will inflict on either of these 2 will be priceless...

i agree with this. but neither fight will ever happen.

Man are people getting carried away or what.....Yes Simms is a good talent and prospect who may be able to become a quite good champion but this talk that hewould destroy oscar and floyd....

Simms has 2 notable names on his entire resume, Mckart and Rivera...and yes he won both these fights, well done...

But that does not mean he would dominate the best fighter in the world and one of the fighters of the generation...I dont understand how people can let themselves get so carried away, dont get me wrong i think his good, very good, but is simply not good enough yet to dominate floyd or Oscar....

I still want to know what inspired his mom to name her twin sons Travis and Tarvis...

I wouldn't necessarily pick Travis as the favorite against PBF/DLH/Spinks, but he's an awkward southpaw with good skillws, which presents a tough challenge for just about anyone.

The man has all the tools to compete and give a tough fight to any of the top fighters in and around his division.

He has sick power, BLAZING speed, better than average defense, great boxing skills and being southpaw doesnt hurt either.

You mentioned his fights with McKart and Rivera...but dont forget at how he destroyed Terra Garcia, another good fighter. And the fight vs Rivera wasnt a win....it was another destruction. Rivera had never been down in his career before that, and Simms easily stopped him and dropped him a few times.

Im telling you that he is THE most underrated fighter in boxing. He also has a great style to bring in fans. No idea why he hasnt had a HUGE fight yet. Tho I could see him beating Alcine convincingly and getting a shot at Spinks (who I feel he would also beat convincingly)...after that, he could get the big BIG fight he deserves (Mosely, Hatton, etc.).
