In this sea of arguments that is esb.... the place i love, and full of friends, people i know, ect, ect... sometimes we dont take the time to really appreciate our great sport.

in this time of mma, i just wanted to make a thread in appreciation to our great sport, the sport of real warriors...

I have a huge catch 22 in my heart with boxing... to me, it honestly is one of the greatest things, a gift... but at the same time, it does so much damage to its participants. It truly IS a sacrafise to participate in such a glorious event.

I am glad that boxing is back on track... and IMO, is set for one of the best years since i have been a fan

Mayweather - Hatton
Mosley - Cotto
Taylor - Pavlik
JC - Kessler

just to name a FEW...

with these fights... i hope the right amount of push can be made promotionaly to the mainstream ala hoya/mayweather... and mainstream can be woken up to the greatness of boxing.

just wanted to say how much i love boxing... sorry  :patsch

It's good once awhile to be optimistic about things and look at the good sides, since boxing fans are naturally fickle and for the most part, whiners.

I just love.... that two warriors are training for months, to go to battle against eachother man to man... with nothing but their minds and bodies.

And its perfection through limitation imo.... The intent is to beat your opponent with your fists until they succumb...

the fist

the symbol imo of humanities born weapon.

The need for the majority of the time to need to use your intelligance in the ring, to use what god gave you at your disposal...

to match yourself against the fighter that has come to destroy you

im know im being dramatic about it but its the drama that i love... lol.

long live boxing...

i could go on and on but whats the point, you get the idea... lol.

Boxing is a great sport, and it is good that though we do not all agree on most things we all do manage co-exist on this site as some of the biggest fans of this great sport.
