How would The Super Greg Page of the Snipes fight do against the Norton of Holmes fight in a 15 round matchup?

Ken Norton win 15 Greg Page. I don't see Page as being any tougher of a boxing test for Norton than Ali, Holmes or Young. Although he possesed punching power to some degree, I don't think it was enough to do to Norton what Foreman and Shavers did.

Intersting, very interesting. Norton was a great fighter vs boxers and Super Greg would be up against it. Page however had more power than either Ali or Holmes in the right hand. I'd actually put the Page from the Coetzee fight up here. He fought flat footed and put some serious power into his right hand that night. Norton is tenacious tho and if Page can't knock him out she's very likely a decision win for Norton. The whole question is can Norton take the right hand, it's sits somewhere in limbo between Ali/Holmes and Shavers/Foreman.

Cracking post. Norton was fine fighter, however was vunerable against big hitters. A prime Greg Page has the power to seriously trouble Norton. On the other side of the coin Norton had that awkward, unpredictable fighting style and was as you say- tenacious.

Norton was more consistent and had the better career. However, on their absolute best nights head-to-head this a real tough fight to call. :good

Thanks mate, i always enjoy your well thought out and unbiased opinions. I'm glad i'm not the only one that thinks Greg had a bit of ability on his rare best nights.

Ken pulls out a close decison.Even though Page was probably at his mature best against, Snipes, he was still a couple of pounds heavy, and let Snipes tag him with some pretty solid leather. And Greg was not that much of a strong guy, so after taking a slight lead in the early rounds, Norton somewhat mauls him around, and nullify Page's speed and slight reach advantage for a close UD over 15.

That's about how I see it. Page was one of the lost boys of the 80's. Shame cos he really coulda been very good.

Norton would outwork him from the start and win a clean cut decision ..

Norton takes it on a convincing points one. Page would have his moments but Norton would apply too much pressure.
