Taylor has been sparring 60 kg fighters over in the phillapines or is it Indonesia, any way it doesnt matter because he believes he is in the best condition of his life because he is getting up at 5am in the morning to run.
However Choc's speed has been unbelievable at this new weight and unfortunetly he wouldnt knock a hen of his nest and this has been proven by sparring a local Jockie to get used to ........
HONESTLY are we all fuckwitts that have no knowledge about this sport.
This fight is a FARCE

Holy vs Val was a farce.
Holy vs Val was a farce through no fault of the fighter (I know there is an argument there):nut
But if you look at Shannons last couple of fights this fight is a Farce and being passed of by Choc as actually competitive purely because he has dropped weight:patsch
And unfortunetly choc has become the thief of the night stealing our hard earned cash on the hope that one day he will prove us wrong:bart
Well I am already giving myself an uppercut for putting more money in his pocket:dead

Ha Ha... the irony... did ya pay to see the fight mate???
I agree that Taylors last few opponents have beem limited in value... especially when checking out thier recent fight records.... once again though, its suggest a bit of activity in the Taylor frame.. IMO... fireworks should be expected for a few rounds... If Mundine keeps his distance, and works long range, the night will be an early one.
Anything can happen... as it often does...
The expected outcome should be an early night..

The Sydney / NSW press have seemed to give Shannan Taylor plenty of media coverage over the past week or so.
Mundine really shouldn't be fighting the likes of Taylor but if you were Mundine why wouldn't you fight him if you are already ranked number 1 and Shannan is already WBA rated and there is a regional belt up for grabs.
I hope Shannan Taylor accounts for himself in a respectable manner and gives Anthony a real fight though hopefully Mundine can land a stoppage (considering he hasn't done it in his past 4 fights) and score an impressive win.
Then.....after two years of average opposition, Mundine fights for the middleweight title against Sturm.
As a side note, does anyone notice on boxrec how each of the upcoming fights have a star rating? For example, Choc's bout against Taylor is rated at 3 stars whereas Vic's bout against Arce is rated 5 stars.

Regarding the stars on boxrec.. is that due to views?????????

I will pay bitch because that is what I have to do to see the sport I love, and fuck Shannons last couple of opponents Im not getting my info off Boxrec, the Shannon that I have seen in those fights(not his opponents) isn't a scratch on the welterweight that fought for Mordey.
So to pass this fight of as competitive let alone a PPV shows how far Choc has raped our great sport.

At this stage of his career and with the potential he had, Mundine should have just announced that he was bringing Carl Froch out here to take his title of him and give back to the Oz boxing community for supporting him over the last couple of years.
Instead we are left contemplating a middleweight fight against one Shannon Taylor!
Give me a break!

Bitch??? Boxrec??
The reference I considered ironic, was the fact you suggest this fight is a farce... Yet, you've payed to see it... alegedly knowing the outcome...??
My other reference to Boxrec, was purely questionally based... asking the previous poster, if the STARS had something to do with 'times viewed' in a better expression!!
No, Taylor is not the same Welter that fought under Mordey... a much older man now, off the cocaine, and probably thinks better now, with a slower reflex, than ever in his career, due to being an old fighter..
The bunnies Taylor has been fighting of late will offer very little, other than 'lack-of-rust' for him.. perhaps guaranteeing some early fireworks..
Dont be suprised if you enjoy the fight....

The lowest ranked fighter is the star rating, Mundine is 5 star but Taylor 3. It is supposed to stop mismatches i think. Thats the answer i seen on another site.

Does anyone know how many ticket's Shannon has sold yet ?
Shannon's strategy imo should be to come out guns blazing in the first 3 or 4 rds and try and catch Mundine with something big. If this doesn't work for him then so what, he won't die wondering and his corner can stop it if it looks like Shannon is getting out gunned. He can then cash his pay check.
If Shannon pisses Mundine off he gets KO'd otherwise i expect a schooling, Choc probably wont lose a round.
would love to see taylor give mundine hell for 12 rounds
I think, Mundine wins TKO round 3. The Ref stops the fight, Taylor is not happy with the decision and spits the dummy and has a cry.
Mundine then thanks Allah for his gifts while Taylor gives credit to God his father in heaven even though he lost...
Mundine then calls out Sturm and will go to speak of how he will clea up the middleweight division.
Taylor will be questioned about retiring and wont confirm it.
So there you have it folks. May as well not bother watching now... :)

Shannon's shot as a duck but will have a punchers chance. Mandy's chin can be hurt but I expect him to win inside the distance. Sturm will defeat Mandy if & when they meet.

taylors game plan should be just to hit the body all night long, forget mundine even has a head.
stick in tight, dont give mandy any room to set those long range jabs and crosses and just keep pushing through.. not in then out like soliman. forward, forward, forward.
if hes as fit as hes saying and mandy is a little weight drained he could out work him over the distance..

I disagree with this. Mundine showed against Green he handles the body shots. Taylor needs to head hunt and throw from weird angles to catch Mundine, then once he clips him, Mundine will have that doubt thats plagued him his whole career, and the fight will be there for the taking.
I think Ruben Acosta showed how to fight Anthony. Long punches thrown from places he doesnt expect them to be thrown, particularly the left hook.

Doesn't surprise me on a Mundine card and once again it makes our sport in this country look like shit, why the hell do we have a boxing board when they let Mundine rape boxing and it's fans in this country :patsch

If Mundine has Sturm lined up as rumoured, there's absolutely no way he'll face someone dangerous next up. It'd be madness to do so.
Mundine needs to fight Sturm in America on a GBP
He'll lose a decision in Germany.

Personally, I can't see that happening. HBO or Showtime are unlikely to pick either of them up for a fight that will draw nobody to it, and even less viewers.

Yeah i know, it needs to be the main support to a Hopkins main event for example.

Neither Mundine or Sturm will risk fighting each other for a relatively low purse on a HBO undercard. Sturm is the champ, he was f#cked over in America against De La Hoya, so Mundine is simple going to have to fight him in Germany and make sure he wins decisively unless Anthony and Khoder throw crazy money at Sturm to get him to Australia.

To all those who have predicted an early Mundine stoppage, . . . what planet are you living on? Judging by his past 4 perfomances, Mundine couldn't crack an egg. He has been floored and hurt by smaller opponents out of their division. His power is soooooo overrated. His KO's have all come up against smaller and second rate fighters (please don't mention Soliman 2, . . . the guy should be a light middleweight). . . and as for his last KO, if you want to watch a comedy just watch the Clavero fight, absolutely laughable KO.
This will just be another boring UD for Mundine. . .typical low work rate, occasionaly will throw in a 1-2 combination and fight for about 20 seconds a round, just enough to win the rounds. Then he'll declare he's ready to fight the best out there at middleweight, and then proceed to fight Crazy Kim's cousin.
I hope Taylor has enough fight in him to make it interesting and make Mundine show some heart (which he has not had to before), but I seriously doubt it.

Actually Mundine's power is not overrated at all.
I think we all realise he's not a KO artist by any means.

Mundine's needs a KO this fight to spark more interest into his middleweight campaign with fight fans. I remember when he knocked out Waters just before the Ottke bout, it really got people talking.
Something like that is needed and to do that to Taylor, quite a well known Aussie fighter could do the trick!

Mundine will ko Taylor, Taylor has little punch resistnd has been stopped by guys like Julian Holland. Mundines last few opponents may not be good but They have far better chins than Taylor.
One punch KO in this fight, Whenever Mandy lwants to. Taylor has been in 50/50 fights with below par club fighters recently:patsch:patsch
