He's a complete thug. He deserves what he gets. I'm tired of being told I'm supposed to feel sorry for this loser.

I'm sad for him, it's obvious he doesn't wish to be alive and it seems to be just a matter of time before he's no longer around.

I agree to a point lmartin. I think a fighter's carisma and talent are what draw us to them ala tyson and we feel a sort of connection to them more so than an average fighter so we tend to feel for them. Also, I think there is a sense of confusion in everyone how someone who has the forum like Tapia to go straight and be productive and a role model type can continue to throw their life away. I hope his wife has banked some $$$ for her and the kids to get by on their own.
I feel for Tapia because he's bipolar, a valid mental illness. But it's up to him to take his meds, stay away from the booze and drugs and show the kind of personal discipline outside of the ring that he proved he could show as a champion.
I feel more sorry for his family, tho'. His wife must be a saint.

Harsh man...........!!!!
I cant help being drawn to Johnny , He has a valid condition which I know is no excuse but fuck I just really like the man...........Its just so sad & such a waste..........He reminds me so much of my best friend who was a golden gloves champ in his amature days & a big prospect.........another could have been...........:?
tapia isnt a bad guy like some of the other been discussing on here..he has a highly addictive personality, he suffers from various dependencys because of it, and now it seems he is bipolar..(manic depressive..).....i dont think hes a thug, just fucked up...

Didn't we just see this guy a couple of months ago on TV crying about something he did that he shouldn't have done? Wasn't it a car wreck or something like that. This guy is a fucking moron and I don't care if he manic depressent, bi-polar, tri-polar or what. The authorities need to get this idiot off the streets for good.
