Father time seems to have turned a cold shoulder to "Sugar" Shane Mosley. Mosley, 35, once again turned back the hands of time to whip Cotto's ass all over the Garden. Cotto seemed to have no aswers for Shanes speed, footwork and jaw dropping combinations. Sugar Shane easily swept the first 5 rds including a KD. The 6th, 7th and 8th were close. Cotto won the 9th clearly. Then Mosley turned it back on to finish the championship rounds like a beast, dropping Cotto for the 2nd time in the process.
Just wanted to give you guys a look into the crystal ball.:yep

I'm so torn on this one.
I really feel my boy Mosley will win but I don't want Cotto's career derailed either.
These guys are 2 of my favorite fighters, I just can't wait to go.

Mosley isn't a pure boxer no way in hell. Hes actually said this himself hes a boxer/puncher. Trust me Mosley will get into a fight and exchange, he just goes in there and fights and uses his god given ability in the ring. But honestly he just uses his physical gifts and fights toe to toe with people. You won't ever see Mosley dancing around the ring because hes never fought like that, that isn't his style.

I got Cotto against Mosley. Mosley is past his prime, and Cotto is animal who is driven, if Mosley doesn't bring his all at this point, he's gonna lose to a much hungrier Cotto.
Mosley, outside of dominating Vargas (which isn't really saying much at this point) hasn't impressed me all that much in his last few fights.

wow some American pride showing up for American Boxers? I thought I'd never see the day lol, I like it though thats the type of shit that would bring boxing back. If USA gave a shit and supported their boxers with the kind of hype and emotion the way Puerto Rico/Mexico/Philippines/British/hell even Irish did....then boxing would be the best Sport on earth.

And for all you people picking Mosley...Lets take Mosleys last fight against Collazo. Yeah Mosley looked pretty good picking his shots and throwing combinations. Miguel Cotto sure as HELL ain't Luis Collazo!!!!! Mosley better prepare for the physically hardest fight that hes ever been in because trust me to beat Cotto you gotta go through hell to do it.

No doubt, in order for Mosley to win, he'll need to go through hell, buty Mosley has the advantage in big fight experience. He was competitive against Forrest and Wright, but they had defenses that were tough to penetrate.
Cotto's defense should be easier for Mosley to penetrate, especially early-on. After that, I suspect Cotto to make adjustments and pick up his game, as he always does.
The key will be the final third of the fight.
Either way, I expect a tough fight for both men--whoever wins, it ain't gonna be easy.

Cotto will punish Mosley. Shane last fights were against David Estrada, Jose Luis Cruz, Fernando Vargas twice, and Luis Collazo. Collazo fought most of the fight with a broken hand and still held his own...Vargas was a shot fighter, Cruz....who? and David Estrada...gave hime a tough ass fight...the same fighter that Kermit KO'd...Cotto is a different animal...Mosley will be shocked.

Cotto has been picked to lose almost every time he's stepped up in comp so far, but he's destroyed almost everyone thats been in the ring with him. I love shane mosley, he's an all time great, boxer and man, but these are two fighters headed in two different directions. Mosley hasn't looked great in his last few outings, unless you count vargas. Time is catching up to him as it does all fighters. Had this been mosley in his prime i think we all would agree he would be too much for cotto, but this isn't the same mosley. Mosley doesnt have great power at 147 and while he does have superior hand speed cotto has shown the ability to over come speed and has been very effective doing so. Cotto is younger, stronger, and more determined. I think this is going to be a terrific fight, but i think it will turn out alot like cotto's other fights. Mosley looks real good in the early rounds as cotto is a slow starter, and body punches don't really take there effect for a few rounds. As the fight goes on cotto slowly starts to take control of the fight, and by round 8-9 is in landing the harder more effective punches and winning rounds and doing damage. round 11 comes around mosley's face doesn't look the same. alot of swelling and bleeding. Cotto is probably cut and bleeding everywhere, but is in control of the fight and his body work is starting to show its effects on mosley. I woun't predict a stoppage, as mosley has never been stopped, but UD Cotto. I think it will be clear to everyone, except for the obvious haters, who won the fight.
Then again this is just my opinion.... Cant wait until fight night!

Did you ever see the first fight with Oscar?
Diego Corrales looked great boxing Casamyor in the rematch. That doesnt make him a boxer.

I dont think to many people truley expected Zab to beat him
Minus the nut shots Zab was doing alot early on. No one can convince me that the low blows weren't a HUGE factor in that fight. Zab had him rocked both times, and the second one lifted zab off his feet. I hope Shane trains to protect his crotch, lol. Seriously I like Cotto, but that shit was straight up doggish.:nono

I have no prob with Cotto, but I was at MSG for the Zab fight, when the majority of the crowd booed when they put zab's image on the big screen during the National Anthem, I was pissed and wanted Zab to kill the dude. When Miguel hit Zab in the nuts the second time I wanted to start boxing in the seats:bbb . But for real, the Peurto Ricans made the enviroment very excited, I was just dissapointed Brooklyn didn't show out for Zab.
I think things might be different in Nov:hey

Im suprised Zab didn't retaliate. Maybe that was a smart move by Cotto, knowing he could get away with it, and there was no way Zab was going to do anything back because he'd probably ended up suspended for a very long time. And it helped Cotto out alot. Doggish, no.. If anything I'd call it smart :thumbsup
That was a fight though were the low blows were worth way more than a point. THat is the reason there is a stiff penalty for the offense, it can ruin fights. I was in the arena, the fight was still exciting, but Zab was a different fighter after the second nut shot, and that aint right man.:fire
