A real tough one to call. At the moment I'd lean towards Jono with his experience of fighting at this level but Murray's coming up quick.

Its an interesting one. Could be one of those "crossroads" fights.
Thaxton's been in some tough fights.

good old thaxton for me mate, think his experiance and ring intelligence will pull him through in the end, plus i dont think murray would be able to walk trough jonos punches like he did mcallisters

Thaxton for me.
He would have the power to back Murray up, unlike McAllister.
I wouldn't rule out a Murray win though, based on workrate. Thaxton is super fit and active, but getting on a bit.
thaxton but its not really a fight i'd like to see.

I say Thaxton would win on points.
I rate John Murray but he is always to eager to get into a war. He can box but wants to be the big man in the ring. On Saturday all he had to do was move and box but he let Mccallistar dictate the fight and looked crude.
Thaxton would box sensibly and win a wide UD.

I would not know who I would pick tbh, maybe a controversial win for murray on cuts?

Murray is a slow plodder who is easy to hit, Thaxton would land flush shots, stop him.

murray, he's got youth and determination, he's developing into a decent pressure fighter

Thaxton would stop Murray I think. Both men bleed, and both men can bang, but I think Murray would walk onto one of Thaxtons power punches and find it a different proposition to being hit by the likes of Al Hamidi, Meagar and McCallister.

Thaxton. No doubt. I'd probably pick him by stoppage aswell.
Thaxton's a tough guy, he's nowhere near as immobile as Bailey is making out. He can still move around a bit, he's got that decent southpaw stance and can really bang when he wants to. If he can avoid getting cut through Murray's pressure, I think he can start to back him up and stop him.

Think Thaxton might be getting a little bit old.
Putting that to one side, I'd pick him over Murray, probably by stoppage.
I like Murray but he hasn't impressed me in the huge manner I had expected. Here's hoping he does.

If Murray could get on top of Thaxton earlyish and wear him down on his old legs then Murray on points or late stoppage.
Thaxton might land the equaliser though..............what's Murray's chin like?
I would say Murray should be a good fight though. Is Romanov moved on from the euro scene ?

Murray is quite easily the better fighter. I'm sorry, but Thaxton is probably the most overrated active fighter on this forum.

I like both these guys and it would be a great fight.I think Murray wins it but would not be suprised at all if im wrong.I hope it happens and there is a good chance it will.

Id defo go for Thaxton, his switchhitting style would probably frustrate Murray, and overall Thaxton has too much experience and also some added power which will wear down Murray.
