Robbie got ko'd Sam. It may still be one youtube.

And pretty much retired afterwards.

I like Renae he is very fun to watch and has really given it to some of our boys.
He needs to train a bit better and brush up on some things, no need to overhaul his style its rough but it works. But he seems to gas pretty quickly, which is probably a combination of not training correctly and the way he fights, how he swings so wildly.
Im not a trainer but a bit more care in shot placement and this kid will continue to wreck lives.

Ranee Ganoy is easily 1 of the most feared fighters in Australia.
Doesn't have the greatest record, but boy has he improved.
Alot of Australian boxers are avoiding Ganoy like the plague.

His next fight is in November on an Angelo Di Carlo card.

A win means a #7 or #8 IBF rating.

He has become a real success story over here..I think with a trainer like johnny lewis and he could make some noise in his division..

Hope he is starting to get some decent paychecks as i know for a fact he only got a couple hundred bucks vs alan luxford..

Yeah I would love to see the rematch but Ganoy took that fight above his natural weight because he really had to.
Now he has more solid wins under his belt he is forging a career at lightweight and Onikeke is doing the same at 140.

It will happen one day I bet.

Nothing confirmed as yet but two possibilities are Somchai Nakbalee and the guy who Skinny Hussein just beat. I think his name was Moses Seran.

Would much rather he take on 1 of the Aussies again, but obviously no one is lining up for the chance.:hey

Well, you seem to have Ganoy worked out and to be perfectly honest...you are 100% correct.

Exactly, there just isn't any Aussies putting their hand up to fight him.

In saying that, their has been rumblings that a fight with Skinny could happen in the future but Ganoy is looking to get a top ten world rating and land a fight in the US. Ganoy would LOVE to fight Skinny at lightweight. He's confidant of a ko victory.

Ganoy vs Skinny Hussein :partytime :mj

Tho Ganoy is a beast at 135, whereas Hussein is suited to 126 ideally at this stage of his career.
Ganoy has defnitely more than a punchers chance.:yep

The two have sparred before and it's fair to say that Ganoy was definately the stronger of the two. It would be a great fight though.

with 10 loses, i just hope he is matched up with a champion quick. the champ will look at his record and underestimate him then boom!!!!! ganoy shuts his lights off. i'm salivating just thinking aobut it.

have any of you guys seen the ganoy against katsidis? how was he then? i read from somewhere that he was not it tip top shape. he ganoy make it a fight or did katsidis just run him over?

Does have a very deceiving record...

Ganoy vs skinny..

I pick Ganoy as he would turn it into a slugfest and skinny would fold within the mid rounds forsure..

Somchai Nakbalee... any1 seen him fight b4? decent? He is solid, but would be easily dismantled by Ganoy.
Typical Thai import is Nakbalee, tough as nails but lacks the skills.

It was fairly one-sided. Katsidis was wary of Ganoy's power but he never really landed cleanly. Katsidis pressure was too much for him. I agree he has improved a lot but I can't see him ever getting a title shot, let alone winning one.

That's about what happened but Ganoy did have some success and Katsidis was definately wary of him. Worth noting that Ganoy was actually leading on two judges cards at the time of the stoppage.

It wasn't the best prep Ganoy has had and he has definately improved since.

yeah. i also heard that his training camp was not that good before that fight. i'm amazed though that he was leading on two of the scorecards. i know ganoy is a stong puncher but if you'll win rounds against katsidis, this should mean that ganoy could also punch near the amount that kasidis gives out. wow. what round did this fight end? ko or tko?

Just he was only 1 point ahead on two of them.

i know for a fact and it should never be used as an excuse but just to let you I know going into the Ganoy fight Robbie was no where near his best in fitness wise and mentally and I know that he was patying pretty hard leading into this fight and just did not take it serious.
So a warning to all up and comers take every fight as if it were a title fight and stay on top of your game.

Always respect your opponent...As you might end up with a L on your record and a very sore head.

Ganoy with the help of top trainers could become a very good boxer..

I still cant believe how much he has improved since he first stepped on aussie shores..

I aint saying ganoy is anywhere in the vascinity of pacman but dont forget pacman lost a couple of his early fights by ko and now with good training etc he has grown into a pound 4 pound king..

Who is to say Ganoy cant??Maybe not p4p but atleast title challenger.

Asian fighters are extremely tough and talented and ganoy certainly fits that bill to a tee.

Would love to see him k.o skinny like his bout against luxford.what a shot.

Pac and Ganoy came from the same area Cotabato or there about in Phils. And they both are agressive fighters. The same age, but that's where the similarities end.Ganoy has only beaten good but not so great Aussie boxers. At the higher level it's a whole different ball game. I like Ranee Ganoy. Hopefully he get's better and hope he get's a better team around him to take him where he needs to go, because he was ill taken cared of before, lack of prep -fighting anyone, anywhere, anytime a . But I would like to see him in a big fight someday.PEACE...

Dont think im saying ganoy is going to be like pacman..

Agree with your post as i also feel he needs to be within a better team or atleast a better trainer,if he is to reach his full potential..

I think a fight vs skinny is the one that could become a domestic level classic..:bbb

Ganoy win by rd 8 ko.

skinny hussein fights at 135 now? wow. i never thought he'd get to that weight. i remember him sending pac to the canvass with a jab. that was a nice punch. i still think that the filipino ref slow counted that one. but that's all water under the bridge now.

Ranee Ganoy

from The Balcktown Sun - 25th April 2011

RANEE Ganoy has signed with new management and if spruiking is the caper he's already scored a knockout.

[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Known as the KO Kid, the boxer has signed with MJA Boxing and Mike Altamura.

He's an honorary local boy because he has a popular following among Blacktown's huge Filipino community.

The 31 year old boasts 27 knockouts from 31 wins, hence the moniker. Against that, he has five knockouts against him among his 11 losses but they were mainly against world-rated opponents before he came to Australia.

The lightweight has had one controversial loss in this country. His big moment came when he stopped Robbie "Bomber" Peden in the eighth round in 2007 and he's won his last six fights by KO.

Here's the Altamura spruik:

"Ranee Ganoy is the hardest-hitting boxer pound-for-pound in Australia right now and hands down one of the hardest hitting lightweights I've seen in the world," he said.

"He's an all-action fighter to watch with his powerful physique, the pig-tail hair style, the big grin and most importantly, genuine KO power in both hands which bring together the complete package. As a manager, I never label my fighters that they will do this or do that, so to speak, but I'll say this when it comes to Ranee — I see all the current lightweight champions in action regularly around the world and Ranee more than runs with any of them right now."
