According to danish press the fight was finally officially signed at a pressconference in Copenhagen today.
Even if it's been considered a done deal for some time, it's nice to see them put the pen to the paper.

Kessler is no fraud but win or lose Calz is getting kind of old.

In the reports its mentioned that the exact time of the fight (not talking dates, just what hour it's on) will be announced August 19th. and is depending on what HBO is prepared to offer.
So i guess no agreement have been reached on that yet.

Kessler is no fraud but win or lose Calz is getting kind of old.
He's 35, not young for a fighter, but he's very fresh at 35. If Kessler wins, I will be first to provide him with massive credit because Calzaghe is at 80% or so in my opinion and will be in damn near the condition he was vs. Jeff Lacy, well enough to represent what he still is.
That being said, Calzaghe wins by a brutal one sided thrashing, it'll be supernatural.

Absolute rubbish. Tickets have been on sale for weeks now. Probably publicity for Danish fans to buy their tickets.

Only reason tickets have been for sale for some weeks now, is 'cause ****** is a hustler. Both Palle and Kessler have stated several times that nothing was signed yet, but that they still felt quite sure that the match was on..
****** definetaly has some balls, to put the tickets up for sale before anything was sure..

The contracts were signed weeks ago, and it was announced in a press conference. Selling tickets for an event that might not take place is illegal on so many levels.

Again that was announced in a press conference, where ****** said without Setanta the fight could not go ahead.

it shouldn't be too surprising. apparently kessler is ambidextrous (has the same control, strength, power on both sides of his body).
e.g. he could fight south paw and his speed and power would remain the same. why did he choose the orthodox style, who knows. maybe trainers are more used to that style, and finding sparring partners for it.
if it is indeed true (that he's ambidextrous), then expect kessler to occassionally switch stances to give joe something to think about.

Mogens Palle says that unless HBO puts up a huge amount, the fight will be on at UK prime time aka 11 in the evening, and so far we don't know if it will be shown in the US
