Provided there's no controversial decisions/stoppages, Hatton's supporters will have more excuses they can use if he loses than Mayweather supporters can.

Hatton's supporters can use the weight excuse. Mayweather supporters will counter back that Floyd isn't a big WW.

I'm not sure what excuses PBF supporters can use if he loses. Maybe hand or wrist injuries or something.

Maybe the ref allowed too much fighting while in the clinch.

Hatton is harder to hit than Baldomir and PBF was hitting him at will for 12 rounds, yet he walked out of the ring fine......If Judah's chin stood the "Storm" then im sure Hattons will.

Sorry to disappoint you ChampionsForever but I just see PBF picking Hatton apart all night long. Like I said I don't think he KO Hatton...Hatton's to tough and rugged for that. What I do think is PBF will be on top of his game that night because he will be up for this one. Baldo is larger than Hatton and has a history in the stone chin department. Hatton can be hurt and dropped though he has never been stopped. Hatton has a tendency of winging his shots lunging and hooking, PBF will take advantage of that flaw all night. You should know I respect Hatton and in my opinion he's higher on the p4p list than anyone of my favorite fighters but everyone has their limitations and I just think PBF is all wrong for Hatton, styles make fights and this has nothing to do with the quality of fighter Hatton is because he is and will always be a top quality fighter.:smoke

I would be very surprised if Hatton gets stopped- having said that, PBF hurt De la Hoya at the higher weight (but he looked shot)..and Hatton has been hurt in the later rds when PBF will be at his most dangerous.

1 - Balodmir's jaw is made of concrete, he was was bleeding in the first round. Baldo also did go to the hospital after the fight.

2 - Gatti needed medical attention and he's just as easy to hit as Hatton.

If he cut Baldo with clean punches early, Hatton is a bleeder and will take a nice visit to the hospital for plenty of stitches if nothing else.

I dont think there would be any excuses. There would be a definate rematch. But this is all hypothetically speaking. People dont give Floyd enough credit. He is a hard person to fight. You cannot hit whats not there. Ask Oscar, He even said Floyd is a tricky person to fight. You have to corner him and im sure thats a tiring feat in itself. But given hatton credit, he has a lot of heart and underrated skill. Should be a good fight not great.
