I just had a sparring session with a friend of mine( he is an amateur boxer with a record of 25-3-0 (22KO's)) i just train with the heavy bag and the speed bag but im going to start going to a boxing gym here in ponce... we make an agreement to fight , he could hit but i just can dodge, i cant hit him... most people say he is a huge puncher... im not that great as a defensive boxer so he hit with more than 200 or 300 punches in 12 rounds more than a hundred landed flush on my chin. Im being honest, not a single punch made me flinch or wooble.. people were amaze in the gym ... My brother told me Man U just took a fu**** beating and you didnt move...does that mean I have a good chin? Please tell me!!!!

Something tells me you're born in '92, and the guy fought juniors.
22 knockouts is impressive for the amatuers nontheless, and who let you go 12 rounds as an amatuer taking punishment?

I suspect you may have brain damage though.

Your trainer should get suspended for letting you go 12 rounds with a kid landing hundreds of punches in your face.
Probably not a learning experience, you just got a whoopin'

How the hell were you able to ''spar'' 12 rounds when the only training you did untill that sparring session was heavy bag- and speed bag work?:huh
Where did you develop that stamina of you than??
Seriously, I think you're fooling us:yep:D:rofl
If it is true and you did take 100 flush punches from a guy with 22 ko's out of 25 fights you indeed have a kind of solid chin amigo.

It has been 2 hours after the fight i feel pretty okay no headache no nothing just a little bit of pain on my back due to an accidental rabbit punch.. my trainer got a warning from the personel of the gym... I just came from another gym and he wanted to test my chin... i know he made a mistake but sure i will have a rematch after my preparation.. people in the gym says that i have a lot of potential, i dont know if its true but the owner of the gym who is a trainer itself told me that it has being a long time since a warrior like me enter the ring so he is going to be my new trainer.... Im a humble person Im proud of what he told me but im not rubbing it into others i dont like that shit... opinions

:? looking at your friends record i'd say maybe yea, you have a good chin, but there's a good case he could of taken it easy on you since your a begginer so you can get alittle more into boxing, like a feeling out process, so you can learn how to move around the ring, dodge or roll a punch here and there to the head and body and then he might of put some more pressure on you as the rounds go by. let us know how you and your friend have progressed in the future

It is difficult, a long distant runner couldn't just jump in and do 12 rounds.
It's a whole different matter when you've got a guy in front of you trying to take your head off. You're going to be naturally tense (and if you say you weren't then you're talking smack).
I have a very hard time seeing you go 12 rounds, they don't even let full- time professional fighters do 12 rounds in the gym if it isn't a few weeks before a 12 round fight. I can't see how a kid of 16-17 years of age gets the green light on doing 12 HARD rounds.

Somehow I find that hard to believe, they don't even let elite fighters do that in the gym if it's not for a fight. Why would you go 12 rounds when you can only go 4 in the amatuers? It just does not make sense.

Obviously man i was really tense because I wasnt expecting it, and i wasnt fresh either after the fight.. maybe from the seventh round i went going backwards and loosing footwork... also my lateral movement sucked as fuck in the final rounds and my shoulders were really burning... thats why I'm asking so I can go to a place to have proper training I dont know nothing about training for boxers... At the moment I thought it wasnt the best thing but i go beacuse my trainern told thanx for your help Mr Magic at least you do consider I'm new into this thak you very much...

You are obviously not ready to spar 12 rounds (nothing wrong with that... only seasoned fighters that have a fight upcoming should be).
You should seriously consider leaving that gym and join another one, taking hundreds of punches flush and having the green light to go on for 12 rounds is not wise. You will end up with brain damage.

It was courageous from you to go 12 rounds with an experienced powerpuncher. Let it be a learning experience, you were there to be a punching bag (not good).. join another gym, you can't really set a price on health. Keep your health and bang a few more bucks on another gym, find a good trainer to take you under his wing and you will learn how to box properly.
I really hope you find another gym, go to another gym and tell your story and I hope that they wanna close up that gym you went to:good

so let me get this straight.
you only box on the heavy and speed bag
you only run 1 to 2 hours.
you spar a guy who has 25 wins an d3 loses 22 of which is by knockout
and you did it for 12 rounds taking 100 punches to the face
no this did not happen. you just waisted your time posting shit.
what was your trainer just sitting there in the corner counting how many times you get blasted?

to go 12 rounds is not easy. I have been in boxing for 26 years, still training and train others. I have done 12 rounds several times and it is hard, to be honest itīs so hard that if I miss one week of training I couldnīt manage it, okay I could stand there for the last six rounds, but that wouldnīt be real 12 rounds workout and if my oponent wouldnīt let me stay there and "rest" I would be out of that ring.
I would never ever let anyone fresh or amateur go 12 rounds in that way you describe. First of all there is no reason to do it for an amateur, if you want to try it out for fun that is another reason but you should keep it at a level as light sparring, what you describe is stupidity by your trainer, if he sees what happens he should have stopped it, another man who acts stupid in this situation is the guy you sparred with, he is much more experienced than you are, he shouldnīt take liberties. He acted like a bully in my opinion. Leave that gym and find a serious one.
Best of luck.

I dont understand what the trainers were expecting to get from you after say the 3rd round..
By the sounds of things you were copping plenty of shots each round.
I remember the first time i sparred, they put me in with a bloke with a decent record(like 10 fights 6-7wins)...I went alright but then started taking more shots by rd 3...I was taking them fine but still my trainers had the common sense to realise this aint a championship fight and said that was enough...
After some advice and encouraging words from the trainers i had a shower and went home to fight another day...
I have been around a gym for nearly 10years and am yet to see a bloke thats never stepped in the ring, spar(and take a beating) for 12 rounds from a bloke with over 20plus wins..
This whole thread is nuts...
This thread smells like bullshit. And if it happens to be a true bullshit story, it smells like terrible coaching.

You will eventually get knocked out cold and probably hurt pretty good.
Even George Chuvalo never took punches for free.
George always had his hands up high with an excellent guard position.
He often said that if you watch his fights, you will see that he did not get hit often square on the chin but most of the punches he took landed high on the head and those punches he could take all day long.
So if you decide to box --- practice blocking, slipping and avoiding punches rather than testing your "chin tolerance level".
P.S.
We used to make fun at so called tough guys who couldnt box a lick.
You do not want to be referred to as a human heavy bag -- do you.

12 rounds?? you went 12 rounds and you have never boxed before. That sounds totaly unrealistic. Even a pro boxer has a hard time doing 12 rounds and espesially if he's taking a beating
i think you got KO ed in the first round the rest is a dream you had when you were in hospital.....have some rest kid....

If you seriously want to become a boxer the first thing you need to do is dump that arsehole trainer you've got & get someone who cares about your health anyone who would allow a young kid to go 12 rounds their first time in the ring only has their eyes on the fast buck

You're full of crap.
You can't go 12 rounds of sparring your first time. CAN'T. I don't care how much running you do.
No fighter with that much experience would put some noob in there just to beat on. What would be the point? And if he's an amateur, EVEN HE probably can't beat on you for 12 rounds without gassing.
If this is somehow true (which it's not), you're a COMPLETE and utter moron for letting someone pummel your dumb ass for 12 rounds. Being that stupid isn't normal, and means you're mother has a 93.6% chance of being your sister. I humbly request then, that you do not, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, procreate, and spare the earth of further tainting from your filthy, inbred genetic stain.
So, are you a dumbass or a liar? I guess it doesn't matter.
Fuck off and kill yourself (mildly of course).
