The EBU mandatory for Huck is Firat Arslan !

It was noted by Chris Meyer, “We are looking forward to that fight. We will negotiate with Universum in the next weeks. The fight could happen in the next two or three months - if Arslan does not act like Felix Sturm and avoids a showdown.”

This is a very, very good matchup. Two strong brawlers with limited skill that are often on the attack.

For me the variable here is age. Arslan took a beating from Jones and this could affect him. Huck, for all his liabilities, has youth and energy on his side. Huck has also beaten Tokarev, who drew with Arslan. Frankly, I think Tokarev is better than Arslan.

Still, Arslan is no pushover for anybody since he refuses to take a step back, has a solid chin and is very active in the ring.

Even so, Huck is the fresher fighter in this one and I think he either stops Arslan late by attrition or takes a fairly wide UD by way of simply landing the harder, more effective punches.

I'll take Huck tko 9.

Huck's looping punches will give arslan a lot of trouble imo.

Huck cant never again world title. Cunningham destroyed him and he cant develop any more. In his last fight he looked strange. I like him but Arslan have more heart and will beat him.

Huck looked "strange" in his last fight,eh!:D

Cunningham "destroyed" him,eh??

As you know quite well the American smartly outboxed Huck in his backyard in front of his fans employing his usual hit and run tactic quite masterfully that day.Nevertheless,Huck wasnt destroyed. He foolishly tried to connect with telegraphed haymakers instead of sticking to his coach's game plan.Whats more he ran out of gas in the later rounds of his fight with Cunningham who didnt impress me that much that day. That version of Huck was tailor made for the American.Huck had the upper hand in firepower, but wasnt able to stay calm and keep his composure.
An excited and inexperienced young greenhorn who thought to be destined to climb the golden throne of glory and fame lost to a fighter with a better game plan.Cunninghan didnt beat the living shit out of Huck or schooling him like a little boy.Huck lost a fight. So what?
I dont think that he will ever be a great champ, but he for sure wasnt "destroyed" by Cunningham as you claimed so darely. He is still young enough to learn some new tricks.

May the 9th,Bamberg,Germany,Huck vs Arslan is the main event.

Some very interesting cruiser fighter will showcase their skills on the undercard:

Huck's stablemate Enad Licina(16-1) from Serbia, Yoan Hernandez(18-1) from Cuba, and last but not least Alexander Frenkel(15-0) from Ukraine.

According to the news Frenkel vs Groenwald and Hernandez vs Aaron Williams in the pipeline.
According to one poster in the main section American cruiser weight hope Flores will also appear on this fight show.
Anyway! Nothing is truly sure for now!
Though.............Flores vs Licina would be a damn interestingf fight.Well,I dont believe in fairy tales.

Former WBA cruiserweight champion Firat Arslan from the Spotlight Boxing Team has had to pull out of his May 9th European title shot against Marco Huck of the rival Sauerland Event Team due to an injury to his left foot. Arslan suffered a stress fracture in the foot back in January that seemed to have healed, but the foot has not responded well to the demands of a full training camp and a continuation of his pre-fight preparations was not possible. “Until recently I had hope that this injury was healed up and I could fully get through the preparations for the fight against Marco Huck. Now, however, I have a medical training ban and need to ensure my future health. I hope that the injury completely heals and then I can line up the next title chance. I’m very sorry for my fans. They have given me so much encouragement over the last few months and everyone was cheering me on for the fight against Marco Huck. I’m sure that I’ll come back very soon and be ready to box Marco for the title!”
