Semi-seriously, I don't care if Evander does use 'roids. As long as he doesn't ruin his health or go postal. And I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he isn't using 'em but just happens to be a freak of nature. Ezzard Charles and Jersey Joe Walcott were pretty ripped too.

The body Might look great but can it still take the punishment for 12 rounds? Holyfield has looked ripped damn near every fight I have seen, he looked real good against James Toney for 1 1/2 rounds or so, and Toney looked bloated.

In an interesting turn of events, United States Champion MVP taps boxing legend Evander Holyfield as his replacement to go head-to-head against WWE Superstar Matt Hardy in a special boxing match.
Additionally, more news about the Mr. McMahon paternity suit will be revealed in Saturdays broadcast and Stone Cold Steve Austin will make a special appearance.

It's announced that MVP has pulled out of his boxing match. It's Matt Hardy vs. Evander Holyfield.
Backstage, MVP says the doctor won't let him box so he got the next best thing. Evander Holyfield asks him how his ticker is. MVP says he was scared for a minute but he's better than anyone else so he's already bounced back. He pals around with Holyfield.
Hardy has 2 cornermen with him. MVP comes out with an entourage. Evander has his own Titantron video. MVP makes Buffer introduce him first, right down to "straight up ballin'" The crowd did the "What" chant during the referee's instructions!
Hardy is wearing a boxing helmet.. Holyield isn't. MVP keeps getting on the apron to give him instructions. Holyfield knocks Hardy down in round one. End of round
MVP argues with Holyfield's trainer between rounds. Round two starts and Hardy acting half out of it. Holyfield tells the ref to check him. MVP gets in the ring and tells him to keep beating up Hardy. Holyfield turns his back and MVP grabs him. Holyfield knocks out MVP. The ref rings the bell. Holyfield left immediately. Hardy left. MVP was left on the mat being checked on by his entourage. No announced decision.

Exactly. Those who think he's never juiced have likely never touched a weight in their lives. I was an avid lifter for over 10 years and I can usually tell when someone's juiced. Especially if they gain significant muscle weight past their mid 20's.

just cos he's lost weight doesn't mean he's in good shape. It wasn't like he was ever really flabby or out of shape, well, for a 44 year old. If anything, at his age, over-training might do his overall fitness no good at all.
Fact is you cant turn back time. He might look cosmetically good, be lighter etc, but he's been shot for about 3 or 4 years now. Even if he beats Ibragimov, which isn't that likely, he's only gonna end up getting seriously seriously hurt as soon as he fights someone like Wlad Klitschko.
Klitschko could kill Holyfield if they fought, if they let that fight happen I will be done with boxing, letting a man's courage cost him his health is very irresponsible.

Evander Holyfield doesn't use 'roids but Evan Fields does.
Ditto what Words said about overtraining - that's always been Holyfield's vulnerability. He seems to worry so much about being in shape, he leaves too much in the gym sometimes. But he's acknowledged this year that he needs to lighten up and give himself more time to recover.
As for the 'roids, some folks here need to lighten up too. I love Holyfield. Do we hafta use a smiley every time we crack wise for the benefit of the clueless and humorless?

#1 Holyfield has weighed from 208 to 218 from 1990 to present day and he's been ripped in every fight, that's 10 pounds in 17 years. With all the weight lifting and working out he does he would of gained a hell of a lot more weight than just 10 pounds since 1990, if he was on roids or hgh.
#2 Since he's weighed and looked the same since 1990, than he must of been on roids or something since 1990, so how many drug test has he failed since 1990 or ever ??? Oh "0" that's right SFB.
#3 These douche bags bring up the S.I. article, well what's up with that, haven't heard a single word in the media since, and believe me if law inforcement had any evidence against Holyfield they would go after he ass because he's a celebrity.

When you guys have some CONCRETE evidence, not just alllegations, maybe reasonable people will believe you. I get sick to death how athletes like Holyfield or Bonds get accussed of using roids, without ANY concrete evidence and people just believe it's true, simply because they've been accused.
Accusations don't equal guilt. We have a tradition in this country where people are supposed to be considered innocent until PROVEN guilty. Neither Bonds nor Holyfield has been PROVEN guilty of anything, and they never will - cause the "evidence' isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

Listen, I know that may be hard for you, but Bonds gained over 40 pounds in just a few years and he didn't work out even half as hard as Holyfield does. I'm a gym rat for over 20 years, I've never touched roids, hgh or any illegal shit. I've known guys who have and you can't control gaining only a few pounds like Holy has in the past 17 years, completely impossible. If your on the juice you will gain 10 to 20 pounds in a matter of months. There is no hgh or steriod in the world that will allow you to gain only a couple of pounds if you've been taking for an extended period. No fucking way! 100% impossible!
Do you really think with Holyfields legendary workouts that if he was on roids or hgh, he'd be roughly the same size for the past 17 years??? So as the brothers say "Close your mouth because your ass is cold busted"
FYI, Holyfields dad - 6'-4", 250+ lbs., he didn't have much hair either!
