kind of sums eubank up to me
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
an earlier duran victory .i think the black and white effect adds to the 'drama' of this picture.
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
this one because of the look of determination of formans face and the gormless look on savarese's face

[Only registered and activated users can see links]
the look on this guys face ...priceless
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
the look of determination on his face ,echoed by his entourage
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
peach of a shot, the pressure of the shot throws the guys nose into itself
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

Not a classic (yet!) but one I took the other day up in Olivers gym in Salford.
Think it really captures the moment between traininer and fighter.

Yes, a real tragedy. I'll never forget that following morning waking up and hearing the news that he was in a bad way.

Me too.... I was only a kid when Johnny Owen died... it really struck home to me the dangers that go with our sport....
Young Ali and Angelo Jacapucci were other events that occurred that really made me think in and around that era of the early eighties...
I think there was a documentary on sometime ago where Pinter met Johnny Owens Father I think... Any help with finding this documentary would be helpful fellow forumites...:good

Yes, I was 15, knocked me sick. I'm pretty sure the Owen family were offered a title shot before this possibly agaist Zarate, maybe Pintor but they turned it down because they didn't think he was ready. I remember thinking "how can they turn down a title shot". Pretty ironic isn't it.
That documentary "The long Road" was up on outube but it's been taken down.
Did find this though
