I think Quarry-Bonavena would be closer then one might think, especially if it was on one of Jerry's off days. Jerry wouldn't tire Oscar out and over the long haul Oscar might come on to a wearing out Quarry to make it close. Kenny could be hit, note the big right hands Duran repeatedly caught him with in their match, and Edwin may have had a bigger right hand. I see Edwin just hitting too hard and coming on too strong for Kenny, and I was a big Buchanan fan!

Quarry, on a good night would put on a boxing clinic against Bonavena much like he did Lyle. But I agree that if he had an off night and let his heart get the better of him, Oscar could spell trouble for him. Bonavena could then outmuscle Jerry and even put him on the deck to win a decision. So it's on night or off night, one or the other. As far as Buchanan vs Rosario, well, Edwin was not a swarmer like Duran, and that, I believe, bothered Kenny worse than power. I believe that if Camacho could hold Rosario off and just barely win, then Buchanan, a tougher, more courageous fighter than Hector, and at least equal in skill, would take a unanimous decision over Rosario.
