At last some serious action.
That elbow was nasty!

Very impressive. Bonner's head bounced off the mat!
The clinch ability he has is amazing. When I had posted about the ability to utilize judo and wrestling type moves from the clinch, this is what I was talking about. He embodies what I pictured. Very cool to watch.

Bonner absorbs a beating well.
Good fight this..
I love his throws, too. Brilliant. The fact he's a fellow Rochester, NY boy doesn't hurt :happy
Most impressive new fighter. Problem I foresee with him, he seems a little frail, and as he gets older he is naturally going to pack on weight, especially in his skinny legs.

Knees, elbows, slams and footstamps!
Bonner did well to win the last round against him.
Most impressive new fighter. Problem I foresee with him, he seems a little frail, and as he gets older he is naturally going to pack on weight, especially in his skinny legs.
His punches are pretty sloppy, too. I think he could easily get caught by a better striker and put to sleep.
But with that said, he's awesome to watch. So dynamic and fun. And at 21, he's just going to get better.
I look forward to seeing his next battle.

He looks like he has a ton of potential but needs to get his cardio in check.

This guy is amazing. He is so unorthodox. His striking, his takedowns. It's ridiculous.
One thing to work on would be his conditioning. He looked like he was gassing there.
I love his throws, too. Brilliant. The fact he's a fellow Rochester, NY boy doesn't hurt :happy
I was wondering if you where watching TKo4, when I saw Rochester I said to myself TKo4 has to be rooting for this kid, haha. Oh and by the way I was impressed with the kid but stamina seems to be an issue abit, give him time to work on it and he should fix that.

I thought he looked brilliant, the kid is real slick with his moves, the takedowns were just masterfull and so was his elbaws, knees and clinch, if he has any sense he'd try and do some work with Big Nog and Silva's team because his movement reminded me of Anderson i must say and i think if he keeps improving the ju jitsu he's gonna be something special, his physcial gifts allows him to a danger on the outside with both leg kicks and the jab so i hope he keeps working at that too as his wrestling is already top notch, i think a star was born tonight.
By the way does anyone know the name of his entrance song?, the lyrics seem to have his name "johnny" in it but i couldn't hear the rest.

Co-Signed. At the same time, he looked calm and relaxed, even when he knew he was gassed, which was a good sign.

Yeah, he looks like he has a lot of potential. It's always good to see new young talent. He is in a tough division and can't always be too flashy because if he makes a mistake it could cost him.
I'm going to find out where he trains here in Rochester and join that gym :good

Machida peppered him as well, but that was also a young Machida. I can never downplay Machida. Hes got the best tactic in combat sports. Although I must say, Jon Jones is the future of this sport. This is what Im talking about when I seem abit negative about GSP. Jon Jones has that X factor..Im seeing things Ive never seen in the Octagon. You cannot wait and you wouldnt know what to expect ala Anderson or BJ at LW. Its like what is he going to do next???
His cardio isnt an issue, hes just a KID and probably thinks he doesnt need it, He can definitely improve that with some conditioning work. His demeanor and calmness is very good for his age.

Is an issue if he doesnt improve it. Stephan Bonnar is a gatekeeper a very good one and when you beat him you get step ups in class 205 isnt exactly very thin hes going to need to work on it once he starts fighting top guys.

Now that's he's starting to make a name for himself, I'm sure he will be moving to a bigger camp in the near future. But it would be awesome to find where he's currently working and get a few workouts in. I need to do some research though :good

If it's true that he can pick things up just from watching then he's more talented than I thought. In my experience pulling off something that slick requires months of repetition in the gym. I truly believe Bones Jones could turnout to be the best MMArtist of all time.

He certainly has the abilities to take it to the next level. Whether he fulfills that potential is another matter. Definately has the wow factor.

yeah he's good, same can be said with soko when he started. if he shows a decent ground game and a decent chin, then sky's the limit for this kid.
