They are clearly rubbing vas where it should'nt be at the end of round one and they know what they are doing.

At the ernd of round 2, as soon as one of the NSAC guy's see's the vas he tells them not to rub it on GSP's back.

At the ned of round 3 theyv'e got the vas in hand ready again.

1) They shouldn't be allowed to ever corner again.

2) Still wouldn't have changed the outcome.

3) B.J. Penn is a bitch, even with good reason, for making an official complaint about this. It's still a way to create the illusion of an excuse for his getting owned by GSP.

I don't know about this. I know GSP beat Penn fair and square - but having vaseline on one's neck and back is a huge advantage in MMA grappling.

Also on the jaw as well.

Form what we've seen the outcome would have been the same imo but that dude knew what he was doing and should be punished.

What advantage is there?

Its everything against a jj guy like BJ. It nullifies the Rubber guard and the high guard. Watch the damn fight! everytime BJ tries the high guard he was slipping all though the second round. Hes probably thinking what the fuck?..Alot of submissions are nullfied as well, gogolatas for one. BJ didnt complain, he didnt say shit he didnt utter a word during the fight. He took his beating like a man. It was his corner who did it post fight.

Imagine though, youre alot stronger and bigger as it is, dont use vaseline!!

The sweat had not yet dried when accusations began to fly against welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre after his lopsided victory against B.J. Penn in the UFC 94 main event on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Not long after his win, St. Pierre and his corner, including trainer Greg Jackson, came under fire for allegedly using a “greasing” agent between rounds. Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer on Monday confirmed improprieties had occurred in the champion’s corner after the first and second rounds.

“After the first round, one of my inspectors came to me and told me he thought he saw one of the cornermen -- I believe it was Phil Nurse … after putting Vaseline on [St. Pierre’s] face, he saw him rub his shoulders, and it appeared as though he might not have wiped off his hands,” Kizer said. “After the second round, we observed Mr. Jackson putting Vaseline on Mr. St. Pierre’s face and then putting his hand on his back.”

At that point, Kizer attempted to get Jackson’s attention from outside the cage.

“I don’t think he heard me because of all the noise in the arena, so I immediately walked into the Octagon myself -- I’ve probably done that two other times in my career -- and told him to take his hand off Mr. St. Pierre’s back,” he said. “We took a towel and wiped off his back. After the third round, we went in again and made sure his back and shoulders were wiped off to ensure a level playing field.”

Kizer informed Penn’s camp of the situation after the bout ended. Penn’s manager and brother, J.D., told Sherdog.com on Sunday that the Hawaiian’s camp planned to file a complaint with the NSAC, but, as of Monday afternoon, Kizer had not heard from Penn’s representatives. Penn has 10 days to file.

Nevertheless, Kizer admonished Jackson and Nurse after the match.

“I told them I was disappointed and that they may have tainted Mr. St. Pierre’s victory,” he said. “I told them if it happens again, it will probably be the last time they work a corner in Nevada. Basically, they said, ‘Look, we’re sorry. We’re not trying to do anything. It was an accident.’ Whether it was intentional or not, I don’t know. It was improper.”

"2. The excessive use of grease or any other foreign substance may not be used on the face or body of an unarmed combatant. The referees or the Commission’s representative in charge shall cause any excessive grease or foreign substance to be removed."

They did, end of discussion.

If anything was going on, the guy was right there and could have stopped it at any time, he did not, there is nothing to discuss.

, oh my goodness. I stand corrected. There's absolutely nothing clear about this. The vaseline was clearly dried out on the gloves when he went from neck down to tip of the shoulder and you can see the skin stretching even. He was just rubbing his muscles and not rubbing vaseline. The back? You gota be jocking me... At no point in time does BJs legs touch where they were rubbing it(right between the shoulder blades and not on TOP of the shoulder blades), it's absolutely a non-strategic place to rub vaseline.

Basically, if w/e happened, happened because St. Pierre was sweaty. And believe me it doesn't take a lot of sweat for a grip to go to shit. A warm up before the fight is more than enough.

Anyways, all this crap over nothing. Here me thinking they took a swipe of vaseline and started rubbing his shoulders .

This whole thing is blown out of proportion. BJ Penn got his ass handed to him by a much better fighter. End of story.
