"Now, on to what everybody is talking about, the greasing. I’m not the only one who has said that GSP felt greasy during a fight. I know Matt Serra has mentioned it and, even in their first fight, I think BJ said something. I’m not saying GSP did something wrong and I’m not saying that it would have changed any outcomes of any fights; but what I am saying is, for my last two fights against Georges, he felt greasy."[Only registered and activated users can see links]

The thing I find curious is that in all these other fights where GSP may have been slippery due to improper application of vaseline, was his cornermen doing it in a sneaky way that no one noticed? Why was it never brought up during or after any of these others fights? Surely it wouldn't be difficult to notice if it was being applied.
I'm detecting sour grapes on the part of Hughes and others. If GSP's rep can be tainted, then the guys who lost to him have something to point to as the reason. Especially since he didn't just beat these guys, he destroyed them.

Hughes lost every second of every minute in their last two fights they had so he should STFU. He was finished brutally and carried off in a stretcher in 3 of his 4 fights...he's no longer relivant. He better hope he can get by Serra.

I think the point is that if he is going to say anything he should have done it after the fight. His timing has a feel of jumping on the 'Fuck the greasy Canadian' bandwagon whether he is or not.

Are you suggesting that the reason GSP outwrestled all these guys is because he was slathered in vaseline?
That would mean that in all his recent fights, George's corner has been applying vaseline to his body, and nobody noticed. Nobody complained before, during or after the fights yet we are to believe that it made such a huge difference that he was able to absolute dominate his opponents?

Honestly, I think it would be pretty obvious if GSP had been getting Vaselined in his last fights. Vaseline is not easily mistaken for sweat.

It's a judgement call, an opinion, it's very different from a fact.
So according to you... they do fight all the time but they are pussies. That makes sense. Everyone knows that cowards are usually up for a fight. :nut Hughes Capet became the first King of France in 987, more then a thousand years ago. So France has survived all those years by losing every battle they took part in and being cowards. Incroyable !
