this is a link to a korean news paper (a legit one)
[Only registered and activated users can see links]

and it talks about Dana White wanting to have a mega card at the end of the year
a card that will blow away shockwaver
the article claims that these are the bouts dana white is looking into
it also states that UFC is willing to work with K-1 for this event (in getting kid yamamoto)

Joe Stevens vs. tyson griffin
mike swick vs. kendall grove
sokoudjou vs. shogun
urijah faber vs. kid yamamoto
Roger Huerta vs. Gilbert Melendez
Diego Sanchez vs. Karo Parisiyan 2
Sean Sherk vs. BJ Penn
Quinton Jackson vs. Chuck Liddell 3
Randy Couture vs. Fedor Emelianenko

while these are his visions and what not
and i believe that some of the fights suggested will end up being
winner of sherk/franca instead of sherk
winner of penn/pulver instead of penn
winner of (hopefully) liddell/silva instead of liddell
winner of rampage/hendo instead of rampage
and big question marks on kid (olympic thing) and fedor

it still is good to know that Dana is planning something as huge as this

Coutoure should stay away from fedor at any cost, its not his time, and it would be a bad way for him to end career!

Can't wait for norifumi

Tentative predictions, although this card sounds a bit like "Battleship" in terms of happening.

Why in the world would he want to make a Rampage vs Liddell 3?? Both fights were not even close!! Rampage owned him both times easy! Made chuck look like a rookie

Theres no way Couture would beat Fedor.
Randy is a complete legend so no disrespect to him but i don't see how he could possibly beat Fedor?
Everything Randy does Fedor does better.

Randy also needs to get past Gonzaga first who is no push over.

I think Couture could get top position, stay out of subs, and outwork Fedor and win a 5 round decision or late stoppage, I don't see this as impossible. When people think of the type of fighter to beat Fedor they usually come the the conclusion of a big strong wrestler who can get top position and stay out of subs, Couture fits that description when hes in form.

Liddell? just a feeling.

No. That wouldn't happen. Fedor is not invincible. And anyone can lose in this game. But Couture somehow dominating a sambo artist of the caliber of Fedor's for 5 rounds? No fucking way in hell..

The only way Couture could somehow beat Him would be via elbow cut...

Fedor bleeds a lot...a fight stoppage is always probable.

But dominating that guy on the ground? No. Doesn't matter how good Couture is in the wrestling department. A cut , yes...otherwise , no...

Anyone can beat fedor , just not that way...not even by lay and pray...doesn't work that way witha guy of this caliber.

Well, first, he will never outwork Fedor at this age. It won't happen. I can see Couture winning by elbows because of Fedors little experience against them. Or, of course, by a cut.

I'm going to put the chances of this card pulling together like this at 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 to 1.

How does Urijah beat Kid though?

Not only that but, how does this fight even take place? Is Norifumi coming to UFC?

add a severn-gracie and shamrock-kimo and that would be a really nice card.

but seriously, i don't think it could happen. it's like mayweather-delahoya and cotto-trinidad in a boxing card. a fedor-couture fight will sell so will a rampage-chuck fight. so why put both in a card when you can twice as much money. and it doesn't help that ufc72 is fresh in my mind. if you can get those guys to fight each other, do it sparingly. don't let another card like 72 happen again

Randy gets owned bigtime by Fedor, even though I like Randy. He would get subbed off his back or get taken down himself. He would also get owned standing.

How does Urijah beat Kid though?

Keep in mind I pick fights from a gambling / value standpoint. I think Randy and Faber would be big enough underdogs to get a high enough expected return for me to take the bet, thats how I pick fights.
