He looks good, quick and good on the ropes. Wish he'd keep his hands up more, he got caught with a few rights that he could have easily blocked considering how fast his hands are.

terrible style. a lot of unnecessary movements. only reason he wasnt sat on his ass was the size and speed difference. hes quick but defensively and offensively could be better at the basics.

he trains at peacocks dont he? his alright nothing special

he seemed decent (I only watched a litte), but I disliked his hopping movements. Keeping your hands down like that can only work against a smaller opponent. But he definitely has some skills and hand speed.

Id hate to fight him, he would embarrass the fuck outta me. All wrong for me, specially in the am's with only 3 rounds.

He needs to put more power behind his jab. It is just pitter pattering. If he threw it harder, it will be a very effective weapon considering how fast he is.

Illmatic
06-23-2007, 06:28 PM
Very fast. Looks like he has great potential. But...could he beat Russian(vicious) boxer...I dont know if Junior could spar heavyweights.

06-25-2007, 08:51 PM
Good handspeed. Would like to see him in with someone his own size before I state an opinion. Quickness saves him for now, but with that sloppy, lazy defense he is going to get ROCKED eventually by somebody with good power. Those pitter patter shots look impressive but there is nothing on most of his punches.

he is pretty good he won an aba (equivalent to usa golden gloves i'm guessing)

Ya thats pretty impressive. I did not see his weight and height before my first comment. He's freak tall and fast, shit I would even take back what i said about lack of power, hes got better then average power for the weight. Still though, a good puncher may still drop him if his D does not get a bit tighter. Man when you are that talented though you can get away with shit like that. Relentless is he in your weight class?

Does definitely like to show boat it seems. Does the cat at your club in that weight have a chance with this dude? Would love to see him eat a big shot. Even if only to see if he can take it on the chin. Needs a little humbling it looks like. If he goes pro, I imagine it happens early in his career.

yes indeed! reminds me of litzau with worse defense. this kid needs to come to the us were all of us featherweights arent 5' 6 and have decent pop.

Reminds me of Hamed abit, he shows potential but i'd like to see how he fares against a more aggresive/technically sound fighter.

i think 1 kid at my gym has more than a chance.

the tall skinny kid in the blue and purple trains at my club and is at the same weight as junior saeed.

Eh, I dunno. I think Junior would have the edge on your boy. He performed well in that fight, but there were a lot of areas he could have done a lot better...

I'm gonna shut up now though, I have little to no right to speak on this.. :!:

saeed looked good against a guy he was fighting to stay active, the kid from my gym was fighting at the finals of a championship tournament.

Pure brawl, dunno why but I thought that purple guy outboxed that dude in second and third round. I think he landed more puntches, but dude's with black shirt shots looked more impressive and did more damage, wich leaves me wondering how amateur score system works.:think
By the way how old are these guys?

they are 18 now, at the time i think they were 17.

good fight relentless. the guy from your gym was only in a hard fight because he got timed moving back. everytime he got set to punch and threw the punches he would bounce backwards. EVERYTIME. which is y the other guy would just follow him and catch him clean with shots to the head.

its hard to compare 2 fighters when they arent fighting each other. the opposition makes a BIG difference!

Moves very good in there, good handspeed good snap on his shots, I like that he boxes rather than looks for the Kayo, he needs to keep his hands up a bit more though he will be fighting guys that are just as tall as he is soon enough.
Over all he looked great.

I'm just curious cause the top US 106 pounder, Luis Yanez, engaged in the most boring fight ever in the finals of the nationals.

Decent, but nothing special. He definately needs to do his best to work on power. He is fast and all, but it doesn't do you any good when you get caught and are slugging it out. If the other guy was more aggressive and landed body shots, then IMO he would have won. Because your kid would get slowed down, and the speed wouldn't be able to save him since he doesn't hit very hard (its pretty obvious).
