Admittedly, not everyone's cup of tea,.... a bout between two defensive purists. It might likely be a first class clinic on the art of the left jab. Both men won many of their bouts by virtually depending on the jab. Any opinions as to the outcome of a mythical 15 rounder?

As outstanding as Pastrano was with his jab, Loughran held wins over three HW champions (Max Baer, Braddock and Sharkey.) At his peak, he had far more experience than Willie did, and may have been better than any of the heavyweight contenders at the time of Tunney's retirement. Tommy takes this decision.

Loughran is a much much better fighter. He wins by easy UD.

I agree with that. I'm a big fan of Pastrano as well as Loughran, and Loughran was a bit better than Wille. Loughran W15 Pastrano.

That just about says it all. Nobody outboxes Loughran. The big difference was his top class discipline and his clean living didn't hurt at all.
