Name some ATG or Almost ATG fighters Who have had impressive Careers, but Do Not have at least ten Consecutive Title Defenses to thier credit.

What is the most consecutive defenses Thomas Hearns had in one stretch? Marco A. Barrera?

I don't think that Barrera would have too many, even if we count his lineal title/s? You just couldn't predict one of his fights in the latter part of his career. Maybe he put a string of alphabet title defences together at 122 though.

Samewith Hearns, his longest stretch im guessing was maye at 147, He won the title in Aug. 1980 Then lost to Leonard in Sept. 1981. Not that long. Not sure after he stepped up to beat Benitez at 154?

Jose Napoles, His title reign was cut short by Billy Backus, Which title Napoles regained in an immed. rematch. I'm not sure if either title run lasted through ten consecutive defenses. Great Champion though.

you should minimize it to 5 or somthing....10 is a solid lengthy title reign.

As for Great fighters without ten consecutive defences, the Greatest himself Ray Robinson did not achieve the feat, indeed for proper World Championships, very few have.

you should minimize it to 5 or somthing....10 is a solid lengthy title reign.Exactly! Most ATG great fighters have dominated thier divisions & have at least ten title defenses. However there are some great fighters out there who have not achieved this. They may have ten combined defenses or more, over different divisions perhaps. It does not diminish thier achievements, it's just an interesting bit of trivia. With suprising results.
