Anyone think Fred Fulton would have had a chance against prime Johnson?

I ask because I know some feel that a tall, reachy fighter with good manual skills and a punch would be wrong for Johnson; and others feel this is hog's wash.

The negatives I've heard associated with Fulton are: stiff legs, weak/accesible chin, vulnerable to the body.

I would not say that, most of the fight had Johnson and Willard moveing and feiting there way to land.

I for one have never seen Fulton in a filmed fight. The Dempsey vs Fulton fight was filmed but that would not help much in accessing Fulton’s talent. I think Willard was better than Fulton, mostly because he was far more durable. However, judging solely on fight reports, I believe Fulton had more skill than Willard. You have to assume Johnson would win. I would give Fulton a real puncher’s chance.
