Good hand speed for a big guy, obvious physical advantages and apparently a good chin.
However is power looks very average and his conditioning is sloppy.

Of course still a baby for a heavy think hes 20,plenty to work with,do like the fact they are willing to match him with live bodies from the off.

It's still very early days for the kid but he is intriguing in more ways than one and I for one will follow his career. He's already making the right noises on the domestic front but I do fear he'll get overmatched far too soon.

Should be fun to watch how he turns out though.

The guy's a fucking mountain.

Personally think he should have stayed amateur abit longer. He isn't Mike Tyson were he was in his peak at 20, think Tyson Fury will start to really develop come 25 onwards....

He has all the tools (as long as his chin is as good as hennessy is saying) just needs to 'iron out' the flab, which should come naturally over the next year if he is dedicated.

I think he could go all the way, although as they appear to be keen on matching him tough(which I agree with) he may take a few lossses on the way, but this is ok providing he is learning with each fight

Fuck knows!

Some brave fuckers here predicting his career already! i only seen him fighting that wee kilted German, I mean big Audley used to even stop these small overmatched old guys at the start of his career.

Im reserving my judgement for now, cos I have to. His last fight told me nothing about his long term prospects.

I am quite new to this Tyson Fury thing. Granted he had a great amatuer career, but after 2 fights why the fuss????

Spot on.

It's his hollywood name, size and the fact he talks alot that gets him the press attention.

He's definitely one to watch, but we havent seen enough to say whether he's going to be the next big thing or not.

Not really a good comparison - Audley only has 3 real KOs to his name in 27 fights, a lot of his early fights were poor stoppages (see the Bonin fight for a prime example). Tyson dominated Zeller (but got a poor stoppage) in more convincing fashion than some of Audley's so called stoppages.

It's clear already that he's got more balls than Audley ever had or has now after an olympic gold and 7 years pro experience.

he could go european imo, however there is something about his style which makes me think he is open to shots and will be taking too many on his beard

time will tell, too early to say anything yet

Did he ever say anything bad about him when he was alive?

I wouldnt really say its a lack of balls that let down big Audley, more a case of his tapping for points amateur style not working in the pros, & like an old dog that cant be taught new tricks, he turned pro too late to be able to change & adapt to the pro game IMO.
Add to that hes got naturally poor stamina & was old when he turned pro, & there you have it, a recipe for disaster if ever there was one.

IMO Aud is more in fear of his own lack of stamina than his opponents. He knows hes fucked if hes forced to fight... hence the 'rabbit caught in the headlights' bulging eyes when hes fighting. Cos hes always thinking ahead, always worried about getting exhausted.

Cos there is no lonelier plce than a boxing ring if a guy is on you & you dont have the energy to throw back, its what spurred Marciano to become the fighter he was after he found himself in a similar situation as a young man.

Like I said at the start though, Audley is too old to adapt & change now though.

I like how active Fury is though! Three fights in three months and not against tomato cans either!! Nice work to his management team.
