The majority of people would probably say Whitaker by decision. But I believe that it would have been a fantastic fight that Kostya would win, after taking a few rounds to find his rhythm and accumulating damage on Pernell as the fight went on. Tszyu is powerful enough to hurt Whitaker, and has the handspeed to land on Pernell. And I can just picture in my head that Tszyu's way of fighting on the outside and keeping opponents on the end of his punches would be effective.

Zab was about 10x easier to hit, had half the skill and even less of the boxing smarts as Whitaker.

Look, Pea was good but not God. No way he shuts out KT when he couldn't shutout lessor fighters then KT.

KT against slick boxers was a very rough physical fighter. Look at the way he fought Mitchel in the first fight. He would throw Pea around, rough him up inside and be very tenacious and use EFFECTIVE aggression. He changed his pace and had many more tricks in his bag then Chavez IMO, who although a great fighter was one dimensional at times.That said Pea worked angles well, and obviously the superior technician. I think it is a throw up fight but my instincts say KT.

You US posters can't say don't tell the Aussies though when some of you clearly support US fighters the same way. It works both ways.

We have been over this like 100 times already lets just let it rest. I have no problem with you guys prediciting a Pea Victory, could very well happen, just like IMO a KT victory is a good possibility.

I'm not sure that KT could rough up Whitaker, who IMO is a bigger man than KT.

Zoo was an incredible fighter. This guy was just the full package boxer. But man we are talking about Pernell Whitaker here folks lol. It would probably be one of Whitaker's toughest fights but I'd think he'd still UD Zoo.

This would have been a great fight. Tszyu was SO good at timing guys faster and slicker than he was.

That said, I just think Sweet Pea is too slick for him, prime-for-prime. KT is my guy, but you have to give Whitaker his props. He was a master fighter. I say PW by narrow, but unanimous, decision.

Id say Whitaker will win but KT had the perfect power punch against a southpaw and lets not forget Roger Mayweather floored Whitaker and had him on queer st.
