View Full Version : ******s and Audley Harrison no more

In December he suggested that he could guide Audley Harrison to a world title, having for years been one of the big man's most outspoken critics. But it didn't survive Harrison's latest defeat, to the Irish journeyman Martin Rogan."I've let him go. We spoke after he got knocked out by Michael Sprott on one of my shows and he felt he still had it in him. I decided I would try to get it going. It didn't work. Audley's career's been like Pop Idol in reverse. A blaze of glory fizzling out to nothing. His problem is that he's not got the devil in him."

Hardly a surprise.

I was actually surprised that ****** took him on in the first place after his anti-promoter rant when he turned pro.

Keeping him on serves no meaningful purpose - though he is a big draw still. Even if they only turn up with the hope of seeing him beaten

Trying to think who he should fight next. He can only beat old, fat, shot, inactive cruisers.... so stick him in with Wlad.

Wlad KO3 Audley. Hopefully badly.

Whens the next one, i'll see you there:yep

I think a match up with Wlad would just about cap of his pro career nicely

Actually, the less we see of him in future the better.

A Wlad fight would give him a payday. Something he really doesn't deserve. Then again, he has probably had enough of those already....

I'm counting the Days until they complete the Trilogy of our times Harrison/Williams III!!
the world is waiting

A-Farce's career will be featured in classic sporting comedy clip shows in the future on a regular basis, will he get royalty's?

It comes to something when Piers Morgan of all people starts slagging you off on TV.

That is like being accused of being a rubbish defender by Titus Bramble.

I was thinking that.He doesnt deserve that fight. The payday or the slight chance he could get lucky.
That guy would be unbearable with a world title;he was bad enough after beating Danny Williams at short notice...all that 'jump on board for the Audley express'...'come along for the ride'....BS as if it was a monumental historic win.

Hi Mac.:good
Yep i recall him saying 'im Batman' after beating some plodder,so that fits in with his character profile for sure.

"I'm batman?" jesus I didnt realise he was that much of a mentalist!

hit me HARDER

he also said "The WBF Title is still a World Title"

I am truly flabbergasted that he has the balls to step through the ropes considering the way he fights. He must be absolutely shitting himself every time.

WBF , that was sad to hear him say his victory over Richel Hersisia was for a world title and it was a foot in the door.. Thats what set me thinking that he may be in very deep denial...........

:lol:Bit of artistic licence there to be honest;
I assume he meant to say 'im back man',but it came out as "im Batman" even the commentators thought he said Batman and posters on here.:lol:

audley is my favourite boxer - i do hope he fights again. one can only admire his never say die attitude, his aggressive style, and his likeable character. he's a role model to us all. Yes he can!

Never had the heart go all the way. Spent more time thinking about throwing a punch than actually throwing. Been waiting for this since his "it doesnt matter what Frank ****** says....I will be the champ" comment after the Rogan defeat. The man has gone from British hero to complete embarrassment. The amount of potential boxing fans I know personally that have watched one of his fights on ITV and then walked away claiming that boxing is boring. The man is bad for the sport. I see a Bruno-esque spiral around the corner.
