"If he's Special K I'm the Honeymonster"

Jamie Cox wants this fight later in the year. I'm glad he's got his sights set on welterweight.

Who is the better prospect?

Who wins?

I take Cox if they fight later this year. Cox is technically more sound than Brook and I think he is the better prospect. Brook will be made to pay for his mistakes and will get punished for leaving his chin out to dry. That southpaw jab will give Brook a lot of problems as well.

COX TKO.

I would take Cox to take advantage of Brooks habit of throwing right hands with his chin in the air. I honestly think that Cox is a decent prospect but we didn't learn anything we didn't already know from his mauling of the habitually out of shape Rushton last night. Man boobs have no place in British boxing

Cox at amateur has looked better then Brook at pro. I haven't seen Brook recently and apparently hes turned on the style with good wins.

Brook has looked great in his last two fights, but when he comes against someone who will actually fight back and can take advantage of technical weakness we will then know how good he actually is.:good

I think Cox would end Brook's milkrun, early.

A well schooled, southpaw putting pressure on him...disaster :smoke

this is a good fight but i think Cox needs a few more fights first. Bit more experience

I can smell china around Brook.

I have visions of him back pedalling, when his power is not looking so great against a live body. Back pedalling, throwing punching with his chin in the air...and boom.

I voted Brook. I think it would be too big a step up in class for Cox too soon, there is a big difference between guys like Brook and the fella last night. I know Brooks opposition has hardly been top class either but his last few fights have been against better than what Cox has fought and he's got rid of them without too many problems.

Is this fight realistically going to happen anyway? I mean 2 of ******s biggest prospects, he would never want them to lose their 0.

With Calzaghe retiring and Ricky probably in his last year or so its easy to be downbeat, but we have plenty of young blood coming through.

Give Cox a couple of tough fights before a shot at the british title though.

At this stage, Kell Brook. Against Macintyre (past it no doubt) Brook showed the angles he can create against a southpaw. He seems to have found his punching power consistently now, even if the opposition hasn't been great.

But Cox looks good. This fight will never happen anyway, ****** wouldn't allow it.

kell was put down by karl david whos very dangerous out of 20 wins 9 were by ko 6 of them in the 1st round the kid can bang and kell was up at 2 and stopped him in the next i think its a good fight but a fit motivated kell is a cut above every welter in britain cox is probably the next british champ but only when kell moves on imo

I see Brook making Cox look a bit stupid to be honest.

Cox will come in, telegraph all his moves in Calzaghe like fashion, and Brook will just pick him off and catch him coming in.

When are you next fighting mate? Only boxrec says you're fighting 2 nights in a row. That really is keeping active :good

Where did Cox show any signs of doing that, or anything like Calzaghe?

He boxed his way in very intelligently and laid a beating on a usually defensive, and bigger man. He didn't let anything big go until he got in with a jab.

Cox backs him up with the southpaw lead, Brook throws right hands with his chin in the air...and gets nailed :smoke

First of all I'd ask you to take a breath when you talk :good

From what I have seen of you.... (not a right lot granted) I see no reason why you couldn't become British champion.

What I would say is that each time you have been on the box you have looked better, and in different areas too...... so that bodes well.

It would be bad for boxing though..... a fairy footballer becoming a British champion ;)

[Edit - I remember seeing you being sent off on live TV once - shocking tackle. If you had done it to John Terry or Steven Gerrard a £100 cheque would be in the post]

Good luck anyways :good

People from Beeston don't tend to be articulate but we do try.

Oh yeah - now you are talking shit needing the £100

Looking at your record you did pretty well to stop Dunn second time around.

Dude is durable. Been the distance with some decent operators. Woolcombe, Nuumbembe, Jennings, Mutley, Matthew Hatton, Lynes.

Nice to get the stoppage there.

Do you see yourself at 147, or 154.......

Matthew Hatton wouldn't be a bad fight to make if he beats Ted Bami - the guy isn't all that, but has a decent beard and would prove your credentials to a degree?

Kell would beat Cox.... Cox is susceptable to a good jab which means he's also vulnerable to anything that comes after the counter jab too.. Still think he's a fanastic prospect though and it will b great to see him progress and improve.

Thanks.

He looks good against Elwell. I hope he starts to put his chin down but he is an Ingle fighter so I doubt it. Stoppage was poor.

He looks great against McIntyre.

Brook in fairness is doing what he can. At the top of the domestic tree (as Brit champ) he is dominating guys. He has good speed, two fisted power, good reflexes and some good skill.

I can't really fault Brook as Brit champ unless I was just going to be moaney.

He doesn't look like the fighter I saw earlier in his career. He looks like he might be pulling a Kevin Mitchell where he is really improving.
