This lightweight tourney seems like the best value for money in a long time! 8 top ranked lightweights and 4 pretty evenly matched fights. I like what I am seeing from golden boy promotions. Hope setanta (hell, even sky will do!) get this selection of fights.

there is an 18 year old from belfast tommy mccarthy, he fought kenny egan and put up a good fight, not bad from an 18 year old

mick dowling was saying in commentary how mccarthy reminds him of muhammed ali, the only comparison i could find was that they are both black

Setanta are bending over to the casual 'Football Supporter' boxing fan. They hype up the Joe Calzaghe fights as if they were Ali/Frazier, they make out that David Haye v Monte Barrett was going to be a classic and then they dont show 'real' quality like Juan Diaz v Katsidis or Marquez v Casamayor

Yeah point taken, i was unfair but Setanta bills itself as the 'home of boxing' and they miss more decent fights than they show. Setanta is just basically another manipulation tool of the promoters, SKY 10 years ago was far better for showing fights .. Holt/ Bradley is a decent fight i suppose but dont tell me its anywere near what the lightweight division is offering up in the next few months .. And i stand by my point that Steve Bunce kisses ass way too much on his show because he wants his show to last, instead of really putting his balls on the line and asking people tough questions, that may wash with 'casual' fans but real boxing fans want more ..... For example, why is Bunce kissing Maloney's, Wood's and Arthur's arse's ?? These 3 are ripe for being tough questioned

good point that certain guys need certain questions like the guys you said, we would all like the questions asked to be more investigative like the ones i have read from your comments, but if bunce starts asking these the boxers are gonna be like fuck that i aint going on that buncey's boxing hour to be asked questions like that, i personally would rather hear from them than not hear from them at all

as for the lw v holt bradley its better than nothing and if setanta werent here we would have nothing, the amount of money put forward for fights from setanta id say even more than equals the money they recieve from subscibers who say they subscibe for boxing
