Have any of you seen Chi's K-1 fights? He's won his first fight and i haven't been paying attention to his newer ones but it's a damm shame how he's fighting out of his comfort zone. He barely beat this japanese guy and it was uneventful.
What are your memories of Chi as a boxer? He's been in many great wars againt Morales, Michael Brodie, sugama.... Those were classic.
Thoughts?

the brodie fight was a classic
Chi against Brodie is one of my big memories in boxing. That fight always stays with me.
He was an excellent fighter for a short period.

IN JIn Chi used to be my favorite fighter when he was active and I almost stopped watching boxing when he left.. Only if Pacman hadn't ducked him in 07...... what could have been..

U can watch Chi's K-1 fights on Youtube.. It's nothing special though. He clearly doesn't belong there.

Don't hate a player for being real. Pac got flashbacks of Agapito sanchez after reviewing Chi's classic fights which was why he had second thoughts about facing him. At first they viewed him as a tuneup but little did they know that Chi was a bonafide killer. In Jin Chi is nobody's tuneup and they realized that later on.
They made all that noise about wanting to fight Chi in macau and they made it seem like it was a done deal... Then all of a sudden they back out to fight some unknown Solis??? how rubbish... O what are u going to say? that solis was undefeated?? lol

Yuuuup there is... JI HOON KIM aka Volcano aka The Sensational Boy... He fought Koba Gogoladge last year on ESPN and scored a huge upset in one round.. Gogoladge fought 10 rounds against Alex Arthur, beat a decent prospect in Tyrone Harris and antonio Davis so he was a tough and experienced opponent for a youngster like KIM.. Soon as the bell rang, Gogoladge started bombing on Kim and i looked like it was going to be a short night. Then Gogaladge got this false sense of security and BOOOOOOM!! Kim Connected with a devastating left hook outa nowhere followed up by a straight right left hook combination and just like that, Gogoladge crumbled... It was a round of the year candidate...
Nobody expected Ji Hoon to win that fight but he did it in 1 round...
Ji Hoon Kim is a 5"9 lightweight with neck breaking punching power in both fists.. He has no amatuer background so he's being moved slowly but he has raw talent.. He's far from a technician but a real dangerous brawler with a good chin and he only moves forward... A Chico Corrales type of fighter but with a good chin...
Keep an eye out on Ji Hoon KIm aka The sensational Boy aka Volcano

That's fine, we can agree to disagree. Even though im not a fan of Pacman, I like other Pinoy fighters such as Nonito Donaire and Bernabe Concepcion... The Flash Donaire is one of my favorite fighters in case u didn't know....
Concepcion has a title fight coming up against Luevano and I think he's going to pull through..

The only I know about Chi is he's a quitter. He could have waited for his time to fight the elite fighters like Chris John, Marquez, Barrera, or even Pac. But he quit boxing and settle to fight in gay martial arts where there are too much body-to-body contacts.:lol::lol:

Chi used to be one of my favorites to watch, since I first saw him against Morales.
The only difference between him and Morales that night was experience IMO. Morales won most of the rounds, but he was given hell in each and every round. All through the fight, I remember thinking that if Chi only just took a step to side now and then to cut off Morales' retreat, rather than just following him around, it might well have been a much different fight.
Chi's peak performance was in the Brodie rematch IMO. Morales would've had his hands full with that Chi.
I thought he was robbed in the first fight with Brodie, and the fight he lost his title in was a questionable decision as well IMO.
Chi looked pretty shopworn (maybe from weight-making?) the last time I saw him fight, in the fight he regained the title. I was glad he apparently chose to stop fighting. Sad to see him come back, and especially doing what he is now.

He lost to Morales because he was a Korean. And Korean fighters are not bankable. We have accept that fact. Chis had got no fanbase to bring to the table. He's not a PPV material.

haha stupid.. U sound like a dumb noob just like alot of your other friends. " He lost to Morales because he was a Korean " wtf does that even mean peasant boy? Is that why Pacman ran away from him to fight some killer named Jorge Solis? Your boy is scared shitless of Chi and he's not the best Asian fighter currently, why? because he ducked Chi. :deal Agapito Sanchez almost made Pacman cry and Chi is a rich man's Sanchez so what do u think would have happened? Pac would have quit on his stool or he would have looked at the ref for sympathy like he did in the first morales fight. Pacman got beatdown by an aging Morales while Chi nearly killed a prime one. Get your facts straight peasant boy.
