has anyone used a weighted vest?

I can't see how a weighted vest will increase power and speed in boxing... Weights on your wrists and ankles I think are good when shadow boxing.

my logic is is that a lot of the punch comes from the core moving quickly and has to move more mass than the arms
it would also give more resistance to the legs
