palease Hopkins can stand right in front of Duran and beat his ass.. Hopkins is no davy more, and a far cry from Iran Barkley ..Hopkins is too much of everything for Duran at 160..

Hopkins by stoppage. The smaller Duran would be trying to go to war and pressure Hopkins, and a better inside-fighter than a prime Hopkins there is none. It would be rough and brutal while it lasted. If it's 15 rounds, then I figure a greater chance of a Hopkins knockout. Duran would take a beating in this fight, I think.

Duran is a much better inside fighter than Hopkins, don't be silly. Duran is also a natural Lightweight, and Hopkins a natural light-heavyweight, as well as an ATG.

Hopkins by wide UD.

Hopkins way too big, way too strong, way too good defensively to lose to Duran at MW.....which was far removed from his best weightclass.

Hopkins is too much of everything for Duran at 160..

On the money :thumbsup

Duran will be undressed and won't find as much give in Hopkins as he did in Hagler. Hagler choose to make that fight closer than it should have been late in the fight. Hopkins would have made it look easy.

Hopkins by late TKO. Something awfully close to what Tito experienced.

This is such a silly ass thread...I'm gonna start a new thread called Israel Vazquez vs Floyd Mayweather...c'mon man this is psycho to even think about. Hmm..actually the size difference is even worse than Vazquez and Mayweather....Vazquez vs Paul Williams more like it....

I feel the need to mention the scoring for Hagler-Duran was way off, Marvin won at least 10 rounds there. This fight would look a lot like that.

Duran won like 4 rounds. Those judges were drunk.

The most exaggerated "close" fight ever.

Spot on.

I had it 10-4-1 for Hagler. It was not close.

Hopkins UD. Duran would be competitive. No way is Hopkins stopping Duran by KO. Duran took Hagler's punches, and Hopkins doesn't quite have Hearns' power.

Hopkins would have given Duran respect during the early rounds.

There some nuthuggin going on here...as usual by Hopkins fans.

1. There's only 1 fighter to knock Duran out and he's one of the hardest puncher P4P.

2. Duran was not small for Hagler at 160, so why is he too small for Hopkins at 160 now?

So it's easy for y'all to say Hopkins would win..but how many have really seen a Duran fight?

Hopkins circa '98 stops Duran, Hopkins was a beast in the late 90s. Much better than what he is today.

Believe me nobody in this thread thinks Hopkins is a better fighter overall. My favorite fighter is Roberto Duran, bar none, and I don't see a way for him to win.

It's an incredible lightweight against an ATG Middleweight who is built like a light-heavyweight. Iran Barkley, Hopkins is not.
