Mundine got beaten more often?......just jokes
Would boxing be better if the top 6 in each division had more fights?
Take SMW and MW the top 6 in each division over the last 2 years have averaged 6 fights or 3 per year.....some average less
One would think if the top 6 fighters had 4 fights per year it would make for bigger fight cards and great fights.
So whats the problem?
Promoters
Managers
Organizations
Fighters
Cash
Thoughts?

Money is ALWAYS going to be the driving factor. Boxing is a business, NOT a sport.
The sheer corruption around the governing bodies makes it a shambles the majority of the time. Look at how every one of Mundine's title defences have been against bums, who have MIRACULOUSLY been ranked as #15 in the SMW rankings immediately before Mundine fights them (Clavero is probably the worst after losing his previous 4 out of 5 fights and gets a title shot???) - how Mundine was able to get away with fighting BUM after BUM for ALL of his title defences without ever having to face a mandatory still amazes me (until they woke up and enforced Kessler of course), . . . the WBA is seriously a joke. It was the same with Chavez who was amazingly ranked WBC #1 against Kostya, and being his mandatory even though many people wanted the fight not be sanctioned fearing that Chavez would get seriously hurt (which they proved to be right).
If the governing bodies had proper rules which were enforced we wouldn't have guys like Soliman being ranked as No.1 MW contender for years and years being neglected for a title shot simply cos his name was not known and promotors knew the fight would not make money. It's a business, always has been.

It's the power of the wallet.
Yep gotta agree mate......its a shame because the profile of boxing would lift with more quality fights.
