andys NFL Picks
Bengals over Texans, Steelers over Browns, Eagles over Raiders, Jets over Bills, Patriots over Titans.
Positives : All are home teams cept Eagles.
All teams that are bet on are World Class vs. Tomato Can with several advantages over the lower team.
Negatives: Bills have the highest chance of winning cause this is kinda of like a "derby" (for you British guys) in football. But Bills suck cause TO cant catch balls and Edwards keeps throwing interceptions.
Confidence level:
90%
250$ to win 385$

andys NFL picks part II ( 1 new addition)
Bengals over Texans, Steelers over Browns, Eagles over Raiders, Jets over Bills, Patriots over Titans, and Vikings over Ravens.
Positives: Vikings are a hot team this year and Favre is guiding them in the right direction. Ravens were hot but they lost, but still no shame being they lost to good teams in Bengals and Patriots.
Negatives: Unlike the other games, this game isnt World Class vs. Tomato Can, i consider this game like World Class(Vikings) vs. Journyman (Ravens)
Confidence level:
is a solid 75% on this game alone.
100$ to win 200$
Even if i lose this bet(Vikings dont win) I still win the other one, and still get about 250 profit. But if both games win ill get around 500 or so.
Good Luck to All.

andys NFL Picks
Bengals over Texans
The Texans arent exactly tomato cans. They have some top players like Andre Johnson, Slaton, Mario Williams, even Schaub when he gets in a rythm can play well. They were one awful redzone possesion away from sending the game last week to overtime. They are so in consistent and will play great one week, awful the next. I avoid them in the betting at all costs. Still the Bengals are on a roll and will probably win.
I like your other picks. The Raiders, Browns and Bills are truly awful at the moment.
I'm betting on: a Seahawks win, Browns +14, Giants win
Boxing:
J Taylor win 7/4 - £30
J Taylor KO - 11/2 - £2 ( I know the decision is likely but I think Taylors power is underated plus he is probably the naturally bigger guy. However AA defence is quite solid, has a great chin and JT is a bad finisher. Just have a feeling he might get AA out of there)
Froch win 1/2 £40 (surely Froch will have too much in this fight for Dirrell who is moving up bigtime in class)

Everything points to it really.
Hunter hasn't faced a worthy opponent for nearly 4 years - and got his ass thoroughly whipped.
He hasn't made the weight in three years and was always 'big' at the weight, on a par with Munroe at least.
Booth is in great form.
Molitor isn't a puncher by any means and he took five to get rid of a better version..... Booth, albeit a smaller man and lighter hitter, ought to be able to do the same thing within 12 rounds.

Who you got for Taylor vs Abraham?

Early odds on Betfair for Moore vs Rhodes & Davies vs Napa.
Not a lot been matched on here yet, so may be a bit skewed.
Moore stoppage 8/13
Moore points 8/5
Rhodes stoppage 2/1
Rhodes points 13/5
Draw 9/1 - wtf?
Nothing on method of victory for Davies vs Napa yet..... oddschecker.com will no doubt be able to help further.
Can't help but think Rhodes is a little tight at those odds.
Boylesports are offering Moore KO at 10/11, Bet365 are offering Rhodes points at 5/1.
Sometimes you are best waiting with Betfair, certainly in this one!

Ian Napa by decision: 15/8 - bet £100, win £287.50

It’s the third week of Champions League action and the British contingent will be looking to get crucial points after a mixed bag of results three weeks ago.
Tonight the spotlight will be on Liverpool, who are in need of points, as they play host to a strong Lyon side. Meanwhile, Arsenal are away against newcomers AZ Alkmaar, and Rangers are at home to Unirea. On Wednesday, Chelsea have a tough match at Stamford Bridge against Atletico Madrid, and Man Utd have a tricky trip to CSKA Moscow.

This is why I'm not an accumulators man in general. You can have great confidence in every game, everything looks water tight on paper, in reality its never quite so easy. Only takes one little thing to happen in one game.
Though yours was always a high risk one so its not quite as bad, still gutting when it was so close.

What do people think about the next Boro manager? Strachan has been installed as a 1/4 fav. Curbishley at 12-1 looks interesting?

Its a tricky one. Maybe just best letting it ride and hoping for the best. I suppose it depends on how much you normally stake on bets and your prediction for the fight. If you think Moore will win,i wouldn't tell them fuck all.

One of my friends once noticed that William Hills were still taking bets on a match that had actually finished.
So he went round every single shop in Aberdeen(a fair few) placing bet after bet, then collected his money a few hours later.
The next day,it was all over WilliamHills radio channel, the one they play in all the shops, that a man in Aberdeen had ripped them off.
Love seeing the bookies get taken for big money.

Have had a similar situation on two occasions .. backed on the NRL Roosters and Raiders but Willy Hills priced it up wrong ... i laid money off with BEt 365 so either way i would be huge quids in ... Willy BIlls retracted there price and i kicked up a huge fuss ...email banter galore and eventually they backed down ...
Had the same situation with Ladbrokes but didnt lay off this time and they wouldnt budge one iota . I said well money back and close my account which they did ... so screw Laddies thats what i say !
But it is an outrage and all bets are placed in good faith ... i couldnt ask for my money back if a better price appeared with another bookie .. its there error and they should honour that price !

I've gone for Moore KO at 10/11 backed up by Napa PTS at 6/4.
4.75/1
Betfred are offering 7/2 on Bayaar by KO over Edwards, sticking a bit on that as well.
Bet365 are my bookie of choice. Their prices are always somewhere between middling and decent but I love the In-play markets. Some of the boxing prices are barmy. Quite often a fight will look even at half way but for some reason the underdog beforehand will go out to 4/1. You can also bet on the pts/KO during play, which is great because you have the chance to analyse the fight, you can see what is coming.
I was thinking Moore in 1-3 13/2 and 4-6 4/1
i think Moore will hit the body early and Rhodes is going to feel it bad
Beeston Brawler
10-22-2009, 12:24 PM
I think Bet365 do their research better than other bookies when it comes to boxing - that's why their prices are generally middle of the market.
It seems a lot of others just look at Boxrec and take it from there..... there have been a few steals this year that come to mind immediately, Booth to stop Hunter 4/1 (some people got 5/1) for example.
That 5/1 was on Bet365, right at the last moment.
There is always a trend in boxing markets, if you are betting on the favourite by anything 4/6 or shorter you want to do it as early as possibe. They very rarely if ever go longer. And vice-versa, it often pays to wait on an underdog.

Benfica to beat Everton at 5/6 looks fair. I think Everton are injury ravaged.
Roma 17/10 to beat Fulham. Hodgson might put out another second string team, even if he doesn't Roma should be favoured.
They are about the only decent prices in there. Might do a double chance accumulator on a few of these.

I've gone for Moore KO at 10/11 backed up by Napa PTS at 6/4.
4.75/1
Betfred are offering 7/2 on Bayaar by KO over Edwards, sticking a bit on that as well.
I'm on Nappa PTS at 6/4 but wasn't sure about the value in the other two.
Anyone going for anything in the Europa cup tonight? I'm on Twente and Bruges but looking for a couple more still

Extenuating circumstances :p
Europa
----------
Benfica to beat Everton at 5/6 looks fair. I think Everton are injury ravaged.
Roma 17/10 to beat Fulham. Hodgson might put out another second string team, even if he doesn't Roma should be favoured.
They are about the only decent prices in there. Might do a double chance accumulator on a few of these.
Circumstances such as fanboyism?
Jesus I saw some crazy requests in the bookies before the Floyd and Pac fights. Some guy asked the man what he had for Hatton KO12.... bloke just looked at him blank and said erm.... 40/1. Go on then, I'll have a tenner :nut.
I could understand people going for a Hatton early stoppage, but not a late one, just didn't make any sense.
-------------
I might run with those two that you listed above, not taking too many risks on teams I know next to nothing about.
Rich - Moore KO 10/11 is a good bet, I wouldn't let that slip mate :good

Thoughts on Shakhtar at home to Toulouse?
Well they weren't too good when they got dicked by United 8-1  They've been in the Champions League the last few seasons and never made it out of the group stage.
Still think they have more than enough quality for Fulham. Totti, Vucinic, Pizzaro, Taddei, De Rossi, Mexes. I'm taking the Roma OR draw at 1/2 in my accumulator.
Totti is out mate. Fulham are in bits though. Celtic vs Hamburg looks easy money to me.

:rofl Forgot about that!
Sounds a decent bet. Can't help but think about Hodgson's Italian ties and how big a game it is for Fulham (as a club) though.
I'm considering those wankers BATE again even though they so disapointed me against Everton after having the lead for so long. Home to AEK, AEK looked a complete shambles against Everton.
You were unlucky there. Bate looked good though.
Everton have Hibbert at centre-back and two youngsters at full-back. Rest of the team is good though.

Napa points,
Moore stoppage.
Not completely convinced either way so if i do bet,it wont be for crazy money. Maybe a small stakes double.

I'm doing Moore 1-3 4-6. Rhodes defence just looks made for Moore's body shots.

I'm not as confident in Ian as you guys. Hearing him talking about his loss for the European title I just wonder how motivated he'll be when he has to dig deep. Davies is on a good run, he'll try his heart out.
I hope you are right though, got a lot of love for the little guy.

Golata over 3/1.
I don't think it's a bad price if Golota genuinely comes to fight - I'm a bit worried though it may be a pay off or Golata may not be mentally engaged for this fight and not trained properly.
Yeah, thats quite a big 'if'.
I won't be putting a penny on that fight. Golota can fuck you over at any opportunity, get DQ'd, quit, anything else. Adamek could get owned by a huge heavyweights punch.

If you want to bet for boxing, it is very useful to visit every now and then at PAF´s page ( [Only registered and activated users can see links] ). There is quite well different kind of pro box fights available to bet for.
For example in this tread above mentioned Adamek-Golota; Golota is offered huge 4,15 odd!
Last night Napa was offered 1,70...
And what is better way at PAF than at many others is that there is not only those big world class cards but also smaller fights available.

Forest are unbeaten away and going well atm but draw more often than not away from home.Palace are a mixed bag at home. This and Birmingham/Sunderland could well be draws
Burnley/Wigan goes against the form book I suppose-Wigan don't travel well and Burnley are P4 W4 at home but I've seen their defending :-(Awful.I just have a feeling with this one
Nice bet on Rhodes though:good
Rhodes was a blatant punt at that point, he was getting dominated hence the 20/1, but you know boxing...momentum can change suddenly and Rhodes is not exactly a featherfisted hack. He can punch.
However, there are times when fights are even half way, or where you can see light at the end of the tunnel for a fighter yet Bet365 give you extraordinary odds in-play. It's like they can never see a fighter turning things around.

Borussia Dortmund over Hertha Berlin
Dortmund drew with top ranked Leverkusen, they showed courage and toughness even after a 1-1 game. Before that, Dortmund beat minnows Monchengladbach 1-0 away, and beat minnows Bohum 2-0 at home.
Now Dortmund are playing another minnow team in Hertha Berlin. Berlin, even tho drawing vs a Grafite-less Wolfsburg in thier last game, have lost 6 straight prior.
Berlin have scored 2 goals in their last 7 games while Dortmund have 4 in thier last 4. With a minnow team before facing current number 3 Werder Bremen, Dortmund will try to gain more points while facing a clueless Hertha Berlin.
Dortmund arent a great team, if anything they are about 6.9/10, but even sides that, Hertha are a 2.5/10 and the gap is pretty wide.
Biggest worry would be a draw, but i dont think Dortmund will be troubled being they are home and they know this is thier last minnow team b4 they start playing better teams.... so better pile them points now incase they struggle with teams like 3rd place Bremen and 6th place Hoffenheim.
Hertha havent even won a single away game this season... and only scored 3 goals in 5 away games. Dortmund average 1 goal a game when playing home while Hertha average 0.6 on away games.
As far as players go, Dortmund just baught a striker from Argentina named Barrios for 4 million Euros. A player for 4 million Euros will no doubt impress...
After getting a bit used to the Bundesliga, he has been playing exceptionally well for Dortmund, scoring a 1 in each game in the last 3, including a verry impressive header vs top dogs Leverkusen, a nice strike from inside the box from a pass from Kuba vs Bohum, and a great goal just outside the box vs Glabach. This one would probably be the best video worthy
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
This kid is someone to keep an eye on for sure.
With Dortmunds decent midfeild and improving attack vs. Herthas inconsistant defence and lack of strikers, a Dortmund win is the highest possibility.
Prediction: 2-0 Dortmund
Confidence Level: 75%
Hamburg SV over Borussia Monchengladbach
Hamburger is the hottest team in the bundesliga right now, bar none. Forget betting on inconsistant Bayern Munich, Hamburg is the real deal so far this season folks.
Despite drawing their last 2 games, they played/drew vs top respectable teams as Shalke and Leverkusen.
Hamburger have great attackers in Burg . Good midfeilders in Trochowski(1 goal) and Ze Roberto(4 goals) and a pretty tight defence who only conceeded 3 goals in their 5 home games this season.
Hamburger average 2.2 goals a game at home and average 0.6 conceeded.
Negatives: Petric is out til next year due to ankle injury.
Petric joins defenders Alex Silva (torn cruciate knee ligaments), Bastian Reinhardt (metatarsal fracture), midfielder Collin Benjamin (knee) and striker Jose Paolo Guerrero (torn cruciate knee ligaments) on the long-term injury list.
Even tho Petric is out as is thier Peruvian striker Guerrero , who is a also a huge mark for the Hamburg team, Hamburg have shown that they can compete and score goals without him, drawing 3-3 in a table defying game vs. Shalke and beating Celtic FC at Celtic stadium 1-0.
Hamburger were also down a man for 30 full mins, a defender mind you, and still managed to draw Shalke away.
Hamburger are 4 wins and 1 draw playing home and minnows Glabach wont make a difference. Glabach's away form are 0-1-4. Verry poor showing by the team. Gladbachs only wins was a 2-1 vs fellow minnows Hertha Berlin and a inconsistant away team in Mainz.... who btw is new to the bundesliga.
Hamburger are a great team, i rate them a solid 8.2/10(would be 8.5 if Petric was playing) while Gladbach get a 3/10.
Gladbach scored only 4 goals on 5 away games in the Bundesliga, 3 of them comming in game 1 vs other fellow minnows Bohum and the last coming on the 18th of October vs. unknown form Wolfsburg.
Gladbach were left scoreless in thier away games vs. Bremen(3-0), Freiburg(2-0) and Nurnburg(1-0) prior to their last away game vs.
Wolfsburg(2-1). With Hamburg ranked 2nd and Gladbach being bottom of the barrel 16th, its no doubt who is going to win.
Hamburg are also undefeatded this season with 6 wins and 4 draws.
Prediction: 2-0 Hamburger
Confidence Level: 78%
Manchester United over Blackburn Rovers
Despite losing to unpredictable Liverpool this week, Manchester United lie second place on the table with 22 points as they have a really great record of 7-1-2 with the only defeats coming off of season opener Burnley(1-0) and vs. a top 5 team on a away game in Liverpool (2-0)
Manchester average 2 goals a game on home turf(including cups and champ leauge) and average 1 goal conceeded a game.
With Manchester United comming back home and a FULL weeks rest, with getting only 4 days playing tough CSKA and than playing Liverpool 4 days later, Man U will come back on track and will try to get easy points.
Rovers are comming off a 5-0 away rapage by Chelsea, and also a 6-2 rapage by Arsenal.
Being Arsenal, Chelsea, and Man U are pretty even teams in terms of skill, i expect nothing more than another rapage by the hands of a first teir team like Man U. Blackburn are 0-4 on away games and it will be 0-5 by this weekend. They also only have 3 scored and have 16 conceded on away games alone. Man U are playing a cup game on the 27th, in which i belive Fergie will conserve and rest some of the better players, they are going to play 4 days after the game vs Rovers. Even tho Blackburn are also playing a cup game, they dont have the quality of players to conserve as Man U does.
I belive these facts alone determine that Man U will win...
Prediction: 4-0 Man U
Confidence Level: 91%

Independiente are fairly legendary, they surely cant lose to a team named Colon. Got a stream up and seems even stevens, Independiente are looking shite at the back...seems they got a backline of dwarf retards so I'm hoping they score again.
The other 10 will be saved for Smith/Quig I think.

Get in!

:rofl just watched a bit there argie football is end to end epic stuff
Aye its good to watch.
I have no faith whatsoever in the defending, they appear 4 foot tall and they lunge into everything. I can see why there seems to be red cards in every game.
The defence on both sides look shit. I reckon Independiente will keep catching them on the break.

I could actually just lay against myself and cut my losses and take most of what I earned tonight. I might sit tight and see how the odds change and what Independiente do to ease my nerves...
Have to say i don't envy any scout trying to find Maradona a decent defender in this league half are butchers the rest are shit
Still think independiente will do it myself
ROFL. What did I say about red cards. Some twat from Colon elbows our guy in the face. Ref marches up and sends him on his bike. Happy days.

Was harsh on second viewing. Looked like he was trying to shield the ball and caught him by accident. I'm not complaning though :hi:
 I wouldn't expect you too. Looks like you could do with another goal though Colon seem to be going all out.

You know a lot more about German football than me but I think its safe to say United will bounce back and beat Blackburn at home, who got trounced by Chelsea. United 2 or 3-0. United will be at the races after losing to Liverpool, Rooney should be back, they SHOULD win easy.
Hertha seemed to be losing everytime I've seen them this season so that also seems a good call.
GOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLl
Caught the Dortmund match the other night before going out well the 1st half anyways the looked very good. Seems to be good bets Andy hope it goes well. I Utd scoring 4 is a long shot seeing as there strikers are shocking lately.

You'd have to take out a mortgage to make any money on Independiente, 1/125 :yep
Just who to take in Smith/Quigley now.
Fletcher should be back for that Blackburn game, right LHL?
United will be at full strength I think. Rooney and Berbs up top, I'd put Valencia and Nani on the wings, Fletch and Carrick in midfield seems to work well.
Not sure mate Fletcher was supposed to start against Barnsley the other night but the physioroom has him down as being fit for the weekend. He might get 45 minutes tomorrow in the reserves seeing as it should be fairly competitive.
I'm counting the days until Hargreaves comes back him and Fletch in midfield sounds great in my head at the minute.
Hopefully he starts Nani and Valencia they have to attack from the start this time and not in the last 10 minutes like liverpool. Hope Brown starts as well Rio and Vidic look shocking lately they can't really guarantee a clean sheet.

Hargreaves and Fletch might lack a little invention, that'd be my only worry. Not that Carrick has any the way he's passing the ball at the moment, he seems completely off the boil.
Brown is my first choice RB when fit anyway. I prefer his height for set pieces and shit, and he's actually not bad going forward. The Da Silva twins are going to be legends in a few years though.
Think Macheda might be off to Middlesborough on loan. Hope so, not point wasting away in the reserves and Welbeck seems ahead of him, not to mention Owen.
I think Brown took a shit in fergies shoes or something, Fergies been treating him like shit when it comes to first team games. His crossing was improving big time last season too.
Carrick's been shocking since the end of last season can't believe how bad he is lately.
I think Macheda will be out the door soon i haven't been impressed with him at all recently he runs about like a mad man for 20 minutes then thats him finished.

 I've heard his attitude is questionable. Bit of a Billy big bollocks. He's okay on the ball and no doubt a good finisher but he's just not very mobile from what I can see. Still think he's got a lot of potential being only 18, in a couple of years he could resemble a young Vieri when he fills out :yep
Welbeck is the more talented overall I suspect. Seems to have everything except a bit of composure at times.
Tosic was also surprisingly good against Barsnley compared to his reserve efforts. Dribbled the ball well I thought, I really don't think he's a worse option than Park, technically he's a lot better, but Fergie doesn't seem to want to give the boy a go.
Brown's hair is the problem I suspect; its offensive.

Man Utd -2 vs Blackburn 13/10
Blackburn have shipped many a goal of late-what was it 6 against Arsenal,5 at Chelsea,Peterborough managed 2.Add to that the swine flu outbreak and the fact that only Burnley have conceded more on the road than them,I think it's a half decent bet

 Tosic is a bit like nani, he has less creativity about him but a lot more brains than Nani. Looking forward to seeing this Ljajić in january supposedly he was the main person in the Partizan deal.
Wellbeck looks the better player between him and Macheda. I might have started up my own hate campaign against both to be honest just to get Josh King in the team  Hopefully he starts tonight anyway.

Tosic is a greedy cunt tho he never passes.
Was some free kick he scored tonight Macheda was fucking useless.
Macheda wasn't on for that long you hater
Tosic did really well when he came on, changed the game really. Not just the free-kick but he very nearly scored a second, should have had a blatant pen, he looked a real threat. He's a great corner taker too, could do with that delivery in the first team.
I'd like the lad to get a chance before he is discarded out of hand. At least give him a chance, surely :think
 I am turning into a hater (probably to do with my mate sucking him off every-time he is on the bench)
Stewart i think his name is was terrible as well. Yeah definitely a penalty i thought Tosic turned the game on its head i thought. He should be getting a game soon i think probably if we get a half decent team in the carling cup at least.
King should have had a goal i thought as well after Evans set him off. He looks a good player as well needs to get his shots sorted out he must have put a few windows in tonight
King's a good kid, his finishing was woeful tonight but he ran the channels well. Better than Brandy thats for sure.
Thought they were unlucky, Liverpool fluked it. United were the best team pretty much from when Liverpool scored and should have had a pen and they lucked out in the end.
King, Eikram and Macheda are the only ones with a chance IMO not including Tosic who should be in the first team squad after this performance and his standing in the game, he ain't a kid. James and Hewson are pretty average in midfield, don't look better than Gibson did at this level and Gibbo ain't getting any games as it is. Dudgeon is relatively impressive at left-back, De Laet is okay but is a shite centre-half.
I think Tosic is just there to fill out a bit he is still very small for the premiership. My dad was watching it with me tonight and kept going on about Matty James, Hewson and Norwood but i can't see any of them getting into the team. Cleverly and Drinkwater are better i think but are on loan at the minute. Dudgeon isn't the best but he puts 100% in every game seen an interview with him the other day he comes off exactly how he plays. Think he just loves mincing people
De Laet is decent but far too old to be hanging about in the reserves. Think he is there because he plays anywhere along the back 4 and does a decent job. He thinks he is Scholes with his passing as well for some reason.

He's small but what did they expect when they got him? He was always known as 'Bambi' by his team-mates for being so slight. Hopefully he's getting used to the pace and strength but I'm sure the Serbian league was full of brutes. Either he's good enough on the ball or he's not, thats what should make or break him. I think he's better on the right even though he's left footed, because he's not that pacey or a traditional type winger he's better cutting in, but he'll probably get more opportunities on the left due to Nani's inconsistency.
All the midfield is pretty average. Tidy, but nothing that marks them out. Fletcher was a fucking genius at this level and still took years to become a fixture of the first team so they really need to stand out and they don't. I'd include Corry Evans in that, not even sure what his best position is. Think he's younger than Hewson though, Hewson is about 20 I'm sure so he has zero chance.
He looked dangerous on the right tonight first time i really took notice. The left wing spot is as open as it will ever be i think, with all the talk about Silva in january i think Tosic is going to have to work his balls off to show what he can do or he will be 3rd or 4th choice without even getting a chance. I reckon he will be there for another 2 years at least but showing he can play on the right makes him look the more attractive option over park for me.
Evans is 19 i just checked for some reason i thought he was younger he needs to get his arse in gear if he wants to stay. His tackling looked good tonight but his shots are awful and Progba, Morrison and Hussain coming in behind him won't help his chances either.
I think Tosic played on the right for Serbia when he scored twice against South Africa. That seems his best position where he can easily cut in, he doesn't go on the outside of players, he's more of a player that links up and makes little passes. Considering the technique he has on long shots, corners and free-kicks he's more than worth a go especially if Nani is not more productive, unfortunately Valencia is likely to always have the place on the right.
I think you've got to really stand out at this level to have a chance of making it. I remember David Jones looked a lot better than most of our midfield players and he's on the bench at Wolves. Not a bad career and a few of these lads might do the same but to have a chance at United you have to kick ass at this level. Like Eikrem and King seem to be doing this season. But its only really them and Macheda/Petrucci last season that have been doing that. But to be honest if you get a player each year that makes the first team squad I think you are doing well. It was Evans the last few seasons, Fletcher before that and it seems Welbeck is next so the reserve team is justifying itself.
I know Andy and djoc are around so...

I remember Jones never thought he was going to make the utd team but thought he would make it else where. I remember thinking ritchie Jones would make it but i think he is playing for Yeovil. The ones i see at the minute making it would be the same as yours but maybe adding Robbie Brady and Hussain. I don't think Revel Morrision will he hasn't really impressed me to be honest.
See Utd are linked with the German keeper Adler wouldn't be a bad signing he's a decent keeper.

Anybody fancy Quigley on points at 7/2?
I don't really fancy either of them, I don't know much about Smith. I always heard he was talented but his record doesn't back that up... he must be a great gym fighter. Quigley wasn't too impressive against Dodson, decent counterpuncher but nothing out of this world. I'd tentatively favour Smith.

Chelsea
Leeds
Charlton
Man Utd
Burnley
20/1 accumulator. The only one that I'm a little unsure about is Stoke.....
Also......
Middlesbrough
MK Dons
Walsall
Norwich
12/1 accumulator.
Man Utd coming through for you Andy. When is/was Hamburg?
2-0 United ATM, I said 2 or 3-0. Blackburn ain't had a single chance all game really.

Middlesbrough 1/2.
Not the best odds, but they are against relegation battlers Plymouth at home with a new manager (which pretty much always means a win anyway :yep).
Whoops....

Noticed they were 0-1 down in the 94th minute on Bet365, take it that one didn't come through

Tonight's CL games.....
Chelsea
Man Utd
Marseille
Juventus
Porto
£10 for £107 inc stake.
Betfair have an offer where if you place a fivefold (or higher) before 5.25pm today on games taking place today and tomorrow, if you get all bar one of your selections correct you get half the stake money back.
Seems a fair deal to me.

I'm without a return in two weeks :-(
Going to look for a couple of yankees tonight. Like the look of Chelsea and Marseille. Quite like Sevilla as well and maybe going to have a punt on St. Liege.
What do you think on the Liverpool game? Another loss or can they come good again because it's CL?

Another loss.
Gerrard has been ruled out - Torres will be playing through an injury (if he plays at all).
The best you are getting on Lyon is about 7/5.
Chelsea were 10/11 on Betfair - most bookies are at or around that mark.

That seems like a good pick. Think I will copy you!
Even though I have gone for Juve, I'm a bit cautious with the Italian teams this season, very inconsistent it seems - Milan shocked me at 7/1 to beat Madrid last time out.

I'll go with that. Don't like to bet against the bastards in Europe but can't see anything but a Lyon win tomorrow.

Liverpool team news.......
If you fancy a really adventurous parlay....
Go with those that I have picked, add those that Andy has for tomorrow, then whoever Rangers are playing, then Barca and Lyon.
The odds won't be sensational..... something like 120/1.

Dont bet on any Italian teams.
I know i know, I picked Fiorentina, but they are playing suburb at home and i think are in fourth place in the Seria A. Fiorentina is also only 1 loss at home so far this season and have averaged, plus they are playing a bunch of minows.
Arsenal is pretty much a 3-0 victory hands down. Van Persie and the Russian Assasin, Arshavin are going to shit on them :P
Juventus sucks dont bet on them cause they are so fucking inconsistant its riddiculous.
I dont bet on the Seria A anymore, bunch of corrupt fruitbags them Italians are.

Im a Ligue 1 watcher, I watch Ligue 1 while all you guys watch EPL or w/e and ill just tell you my 2 cents on Lyon
They played very poorly vs St Etienne whoa re a bottom of the barrel team and they lost home vs Shoax in a very poor 2-0 home showing .
Lyon are kinda playing like garbage right now, so a injured Liverpool vs. a struggling Lyon is a 50/50 game in my eyes, and id keep away from it.

Can well imagine that would be a nice pay out if it came in! Can't help but worry about that accumulator you put up for tonight though. Looked at the match ups and each one looks fairly safe but just don't like the feel of it.
. . .having said that I don't think I'd recognise a winning bet if it hit me in the nuts at the minute :yep

If you fancy a secure long term investment.....
Pick Leeds to win League 1 in England at 8/15 (1.53) and to win promotion at 1/4 (1.25)
Works out around 17/20.
Seven points clear after the first third of the season..... nearly unbeatable at home :yep

Who'd you place that with? Didn't think most bookies would allow the bet.
I stacked on them last season mid way through thinking they were certs . . .:-(

I haven't yet..... you are probably right, it's unlikely they would.
Worth a try though.
You could always put a bit on Leeds to be the winner, then have a small bet on Charlton as an insurance policy. They seem the next best side in the division.... or MK Dons.

Marsielle over Zurich is kinda risky cause Marsielle arent playing up to thier abilities right now either. The hottest team to bet on in Ligue 1 right now is AJ Auxerre.
I dunno but ill do a small parlay on that shit i guess. Ill do Marsielle, Chelsea, Porto, Man U.
I put 10 to win 50.

If I was betting on it I would go with Leeds but then if Beckford goes in January it could change the spirit as well as everything else.
I always look out for MK DOns when I put accumulators on at the weekends. Often a great side to back away from home

To be honest I haven't heard of much interest in Beckford of late.
My theory - if Leeds are, by their estimation, far enough ahead of the chasing pack come the middle of the window they might be able to sell. If they are pretty close, they won't.
To me, it's no good selling your leading scorer only to end up staying in League 1, when the additional attendances and TV in the Championship will cover the 'cost' of letting him go on a free.
Honestly though, I don't see him doing it at Championship level. He only played against one Championship standard centre back in the whole of last season, the kid from Millwall, in the playoffs, and was marked out of both games.
His ball control is terrible, he relies on his pace too much against the journeymen and pensioners in this division. Any centreback with pace or positional sense would easily have him in their pocket.

Don't know all that much about him to be honest. Was there not some foreign side interested? Portugal or Turkey?
