View Full Version : Is it safe to say that a 1-d and green pac whooped a prime mab?

their rematch is coming. and i do believe pac is 95 % prime up nowadays. back before when pac is a 1-d fighter he was already rolling his opponents like cigars like what he did to mab...:lol: i wonder what will pac do this time to mab and when the time comes for rematch? :think i predict a real good pac make it an early exit for mab. ;)

No, Pac had already been fighting on a world class championship level for 4 years before he beat MAB.

No Way was PAc green he had been around the 118-122 championship scene for a few years alredy. Barrera had been in championships fights for many years, I think he was clearly just passed the end of his prime. In any case I think Barrera will pull off the upset (in his last fight), though Barrera is very much past his prime, he still has mad skills and a lot heart.

Pac was nowhere near "green" in that fight. And MAB definitely wasn't Prime! Pac, although, was prime when JMM schooled his ass and El Terrible gave him a thrashing. That being said, Pac is going to destroy MAB in the rematch......and then if he has the balls to give JMM a rematch, he will be beaten by him AGAIN!

Pac was far from green, but he's still one dimensional, so I predict he fights the exact same. Barrera in the other hand looked better than I think I've ever seen him in his loss to Marquez, so this fight should be interesting if he can get out of the funk from their first encounter.
ooh, I disagree. I wasn't impressed with him in that fight. I thought the announcers were sucking his balls pretty good, but Marquez was outboxing and continuously beating him to the punch.

Pac was not green, just not as well rounded as he is now.

For that fight, MAB was in his prime, just not prime that night.

He was pudgy and slow.

I agree that the announcers were on his dick pretty hard, but I still thought he looked great, and that was a back and forth fight, Barrera likely winning early on, I wouldn't say Marquez beat him to the punch at all, Barrera landed the cleaner shots early on, dropped him, and countered well, but the extra BS point for Marquez in round 7 and the fact that he pressed the fight harder got him the very close victory. Very close fight, I thought he looked great.
I'm not saying you're wrong. I just don't remember seeing that. I remember actually thinking Marquez was winning rather comfortably. I gotta watch again :good

This idea of Pac being green is bullshit and shows a lack of boxing knowledge.

Michael Jordan won a championship before he added a consistant 3 point shot to his game. Does this mean he was somehow not in his prime until he added this 3 point shot? No is the proper answer.

The Pac groupies are even ignorant about their own fighter.

They might be even worse than the Oscarsexuals.

Yes, to even suggest that Pacquiao after 40 pro fights in 8-9 years, 8 world title fights, and 5 years after winning his first world title by beating one of the 2 best flyweights in the world....was green, is ignorant.

Jeez Pac groupies, if you're going to be ignorant, at least limit it to the rest of the sport rather than to include the subject of your own affection.

Barrera may have been past his prime, but not very far past it. He was close enough.

At the time, Barrera was in the top 5 p4p on many lists, and the favorite of the fight. Some even thought Pacquiao was making a mistake going up in weight instead of staying at 122.

Then after Pac destroyed Barrera, you heard more of the "Barrera is way past it" talk.

only the mab camp thought pac was green. he was doing great at 122 before this fight.

Yes, he was green and one dimensional but he whooped the ass of prime and skilled Barrera. He will do it again on October 16. Moreso, when the new is Pac is no longer green and one dimensional.

dude, you were one of those people who said that pac was a total moster at 122 beating all the big names. when hypothetically matched up against the past greats at 122, you picked pac to win. how then could you say that he was still green when he fought mab? do you even know what green means?

and fuck that shit about a prime mab, that was in no way, shape or form a prime mab. did you see mab fight hamed?

PAC ain't green when he fought MAB' he's just an unknown fighter with a lot of balls to face MAB at that point. I remember Roach saying that PAC should fist test the waters at126 by fighting someone like Paulie Ayala ... PAC already won championships at the lower divisions before moving up to face MAB.
