If Diaz had got lucky against Pacman would he have been P4P #1?

I'm sure Hatton with his retarded logic would have had Diaz @ #1 in his list.

Come on Joe, you're better than this.

The man has actually got a fair point, and illustrated well.

p4p #1 is obviously not lineal. Marquez has a svery strong case as it is, and certainly if Pacquiao lost would be a shoe in.

This shit is getting old very quickly...I normally pop over onto the general forum to view and participate in this level of puerile debate

We all know Ricky's got a problem in understanding how the p4p thing works. It's been discussed before.

I did consider posting it in the GF.

Exactly, why do we have to keep answering the same questions over and over again.

Its not a good point because everyone on this forum knows the P4P number 1 ranking isn't lineal. The thread is just a lame and clumsy wind up attempt.

That might be a better idea next time....;)

would marquez have been p4p number 1 if he'd beat PAC? Probably, it's not lineal but if a top fighter beats the man he's got a good case for arguing he's number one!

He did and he is.

He did and he is.

I kinda agree there, I only judge a fighter on the fights I reckon they won and I dont think Pac was even close to winning

A fight takes more than 1 kd to decide imo and JMM had won far too many of the other rounds on my card to make a difference.

I wouldn't go that far, but I just feel that JMM has Pac's number and knows how to outbox him, I thought he just sneaked the win.

It's his narrow punching style, unlike most mexicans he seems to rely heavily on straight punches. Even his hooks are thrown in a straight manner. He is very, very good! I'd be interested to see the chris john fight.

I gave him 3 or 4 rounds tops but with the KD the scores might have been a little closer but no way did Pac win

YouTube is your friend. It is most definitely found there as I watched it the other day.

Not that interesting of a fight, maybe one for the purists. Marquez definitely won, but it was pretty close and John showed he's a good fighter.

He did and he is.

He didn't and he isn't I'm afraid.

I may have scored the fights for Marquez myself but that doesn't matter. The results in the record books matter. And Marquez has had 2 stabs at Manny and hasn't won.

Add to that Pacman's weight jumping feats and he has to get the nod IMO

It's tight though, I'll give you that

Diaz would have been, if he was ranked highly in the first place. A win over Pacquiao would have put him around 7-10, but he was coming from about 30-40. Hatton, on the other hand, is ranked highly as it is, probably 12th, so a win for him would put him in the top 3 at least. Considering how unbeatable Pacquiao has looked recently, maybe Hatton would go top.

I wouldn't have had Diaz anywhere near the top 10.

All it would have proven for me was that Pacquiao shouldn't have been at 135.

Its only GBP's who think P4P number 1 is a title that can be won.

Hatton will not be p4p number ne if he beats Pac, I see no reason to put him above either Marquez or Hopkins.
